At long last

As for medical tourism, quite doubtful as abortion is not permitted in "only" three Asian countries: Iraq, Laos and the Philippines.

Plenty of other countries to go to I guess

While recovering on a beautiful Thai beach as the sun rises.....or sets.....

A new class for medical tourism possibly?

I was just wondering how Thai Air could promote it.

Of all the things that have surprised me over the last year, this surprised me the most and I'm including the legalisation of cannabis in that.

Many Thais won't be happy about this...

Its nice they are making it official, ,but abortion has been readily, legally accessible in thailand for some time now..

Surely there has to be a medical reason to abort at 12 -20 weeks, hence the mention of a doctor

The foetus is quite well formed by that stage

How long have you been in Thailand?

Abortion here actually happens fairly often, I know multiple women who had one -- due to it being illegal at great personal risk to their health, as getting an abortion performed by a knowledgeable medical professional becomes even more of a lucky draw scenario than usual.

17 years for 10 months a year actually but I'm 40 now and I don't really know what the 20 year olds today think. From the people I know they actually really cherish children and the thought of abortion just don't factor in.

Sounds like a repeat of what happened in America. Parents let the kids run around and have sex as teenagers and then the obvious happens. I didn't think this happened so much in Thailand but maybe it's the same these days.

And change the 90 day report to 180 days - it'll halve the paperwork.

Ah yes, forgot about that one.  If they are in this kind of liberal mood let's get rid of the reporting entirely unless you change address.
