He would have not had any problems if he found a weed bar.

Strange, I tried weed many years ago, had no effect on me whatsoever, didn't feel a thing different. Alcohol on the other hand....

When I was in College I lived in Reno which never closed, the casinos are open 24hr.  Me and my friends quite often started drinking Friday night and didn’t stop until Sunday afternoon. We used to call them 40 rolls. Sure some things got broken, shenanigans happened but nobody every got arrested. Guess some people just can’t handle a 40 roll!

The program of attracting rich foreigners into the country seems to be working. Two days of imbibing the local nectar, Thai whiskey, would have injected several hundred baht into the local economy via a mum and pop store. The tourist mecca of Nakhon Si Thammarat would have welcomed this influx of USD locally.

As an added bonus the RTP got to use their falang control poles in a real situation instead of just practicing on a volunteer on a Pattaya beach. (Now if they could just work out, they're not for leaning on)

Love the shepherds crooks and various tools for handing wild beasts the police are using on this drunkard. Hilarious!

The "amok catcher" that they're using has a long tradition in Southeast Asia - you can see them in some museums in Malaysia, and to the right in this old engraving from the Dutch East Indies.

You probably puffed a week-assed spliff. Suggest try a 'proper' strain. Some don't have any affect on me either while others blow my head off. As with alcohol, there are many. They are not all made equal. ????

Umpteen Lao Khao'd up Thais make a scene every day, yet a 'visitor' gets all hot under the collar and it makes national news. Go figure. Just deport the perp. Next...

Is this the problem for Thai society ? I think it is not. He is a tourist, he spends money.

It would be a problem if he had some social responsibilities like going to work, or kids to care, but he came here to relax and enjoy.

I think society should not blame him (unless he beat someone or damaged property).

Took him two days of drinking to cause a public nuisance? Light weight. Takes my fellow countrymen the British only a few hours.

Wouldn’t taking two days to get him to the state he was in make him a heavyweight. It took longer to reduce him to idiocy.

Looks like the cops are drawing straws to see who gets in the photo op American Gothic 2022. They've certainly got the implements to make the photo work.

So why is the policeman pointing at someone who is not the suspect?

I thought Thais had the pointing game nailed.  Mr Plod is really letting the side down.

I think he is pointing to a lesser plod and saying ' Where is your crowd control tool . you better not have lost it '.
