Thai Rath reported on a snatch theft from a gold shop in Sriracha, Chonburi on Thailand's eastern seaboard.

It happened at the end of a soi in the Nong Kham police jurisdiction at the Rung Charoen Yaowarat shop.

Startled staff said that a woman had come in and after browsing had run off with a two baht weight item of gold (this is worth about 60,000 baht notes ASEAN NOW).

Police quickly on the scene studied CCTV and discovered the name of the thief, a woman called Mayrin Namphitak, 25, from Ubon who was rounded up within 30 minutes nearby and taken on a renenactment.

The suspect admitted to being addicted to gambling and just the other day she lost 300,000 baht in a single day.

She had no way out and turned to theft.

She was charged with snatch theft using a conveyance that in this case was her motorcycle that she used to go home in after stealing the gold.

Yup, mislead by England's 6-2 drubbing of Iran , she put all her money on them to beat the USA.

If only she had spoken to somebody English before making the bet , they would have set her straight.

Who does she owe the 300k to?

Well she did not run up debts on buying designer clothes.

Give me 5 minutes and I'll ask her. ????

The sad part is that what ever proceeds of the loot she'd get she would gamble with it anyway, so by robbing she didn't solve her problems just made them worse...

Looks like a gold shop is the right solution to resolve the addictions or get worse the life of these idiots this days.

So she robbed a place where everyone knows her?

She is really addicted ,maybe getting caught might be the best thing for her,

might break the cycle ,but it won't be easy ,it's just as bad as drugs ,alcohol ,

when it takes a hold on you.

In many cases, they would rather deal with the Thai judicial system, than the loan sharks.

Super High-quality pointing pictures!!!!

The grim reaper.

As expected a lot of pointing going on is there anywhere else on the Planet Earth that has these ridiculous re-enactments as I don’t know of them?

It looks like she is still in her pyjamas.

I know an older Thai lady that now lives with her brother on an Army base, has huge gambling debts and probably can't leave that base for the rest of her life.
