Pretty much leaves a blank slate, ya think? They're all corrupt: that's a given. Taksin family actually paid attention to Thais outside of Bangkok and helped them.... health insurance comes to mind

It is 100% sure that the government is corrupt if people vote for corrupt politicians.

It might be difficult to find decent honest politicians. But if people want an honest government, then that is what they should vote for.

Paetongtarn - the heroine of inherited democracy then.

You can take a penguin, paint it green and assume it represents a frog while actually nothing apart from the irrelevant colour has changed. You want real changes and inch this country a little closer to the 20th - hell beware - 21st century?
Education is the key and if started today, 1 December 2022, it will take one to two generations - at least - to kick in.

Do non-Thais care? No. Does it affect non-Thais? No. So I might suggest to leave this permanently hot potato in the gifted hands of Khon Thai; the more changes are anticipated the less will change!

It will come down to handouts as usual. Mrs got 1k already from a party meeting last week, she has no idea what the policies are ????

On what basis to you reach your conclusions?

ANFREL have time and again stated that handouts do not alter the outcome of Thai elections - they’ve found zero evidence of impactful cheating in any of the elections won by Thaksin’s side of politics.

Post a link of your evidence - help enlighten us all (unless of course your just parroting the nonsense read on forums posted by racist, misogynistic failures that are to afraid to look at themselves in the mirror).

The fact is, when Paetongtarn wins next years election the net result will be a significant drop in the level of corruption in Thailand during her reign.

The only stupid people are the ones lacking the requisite quantity of grey matter to see the obvious.

What sort of magical thinking places unelected proven crooks as more desirable administrators than elected (falsely) accused crooks?

Where do you get your information from.

Truth today or the drums in the red village or does the missus tell you what to think?

Having a brain is a good start. Using it from time to time is even better.

Not true.

Checks and balances can be put in place to minimise / prosecute corruption.

Why do you think it is that after every coup the unelected regime tears up the constitution and replaces it with one that significantly reduces checks, balances and oversight of their activities?

Whats 100% true is that your Thaksin obsession and inability to own your political views is fooling no one - given the choice between elections and coups, you are clearly pro coup (to the point of denying reality to remain ensconced in your own little fantasy world where any and everything can be justified by simply parroting any old made up “Thaksin is the devil” nonsense).

What do you know of honesty and decency??

I know that Thaksin and at least some people in his family are criminals.

He and his sister would be in jail if they wouldn't have run away.

Obviously you can join those people who just shout "political prosecution" or you can look at facts and realize that he and his sister were very corrupt criminals.

And nobody doubts that his daughter will deliver more of the same.

Do you want corruption? Do you want criminals running the country? Then go ahead and vote for her.

And just in case you want an honest government then look for honest alternatives. I know that is difficult in Thailand. But just voting again for the same corrupt people will not change anything.
