wow ..... not a word of praise for the Pattaya police for doing their job and taking what obviously is a threat off the streets .... yes I admit they make the Keystone cops look like pro's most of the time but  occasionally they do step up to the mark . There have been a lot of associations with criminal and criminal gangs  who were marked or liked to adorn themselves with tattoos throughout history....from the criminals being transported from Britain to Australia, the Yakuza in Japan, Hell's Angels and of course  American gangs. 

I am surprised you find it ridiculous.....it's not all about drunken sailors doing a jig.
