If Thailand doesn't impose mandatory COVID-19 tests on travellers from China it will be a disaster.

Covid-19 numbers will escalate substantially.

Thailand could potentially lose tourists from other countries, should they not do some validation on chinese arrivals, as some of those countries can impose restrictions for travellers from Thailand.

It would appear that do!!

I really hope they change thier minds

But decisions are now being made by a man who has had 6 vaccine shots and as deputy prime Minister has aspirations for the top job if he can keep the economy moving forward

first 3-4 of those was sinovac/pharm, which has also been applied in large part of thai population

Vaccine certificates for all incoming travellers about to be required soon, then tests for everyone and so on.

Did you forget what happened after the restrictions were relaxed?

Other than closing forever, it wont work. Just delay the eventual.

That was not the point..... it was whether lockdowns work or not. You kinda prove that they do by saying what happened when they stopped. The lockdowns kept people alive until  vaccinations were available to do the job, preventing a failure of medical facilities.

Because in China 250 million cases were reported.

250 million is more than 1 million.

Absolute fiction. Where is your source for 250M cases reported in China?

The issue cited by the governments worldwide who have imposed pre flight testing is lack of information,  there have not been 250M cases reported.

Both:

A lack of transparency over the scale of the latest outbreak and concerns over the possibility of new variants emerging have led to new restrictions in several countries

"citing data handled by the Chinese health authorities, almost 250 million people were infected in the country in the first three weeks of the month with 37 million cases in just one day on December 20"
