Popular Post jacko45k Posted March 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 9, 2023 I must admit I often reverse until I tap the raised kerb in many car parks... then I know I am as far in as I can be...... I suggest this driver did not miss the accelerator pedal as written! 4 1 1

If he missed the accelerator, the car wouldn't go anywhere. 2. it would have to be in reverse. 3. The handbrake would have to be off. Still. This is Thailand. Edited March 9, 2023 by phetphet 8 1
Grumpy one Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 What gives in this country, first its people jumping off buildings Now its cars, what's next honest politicians ???? 2
sammieuk1 Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Hopefully that will be the final position for all pickups ????

2baht Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 He forgot to engage the pully handle thingy that we call the handbrake! 1 1
ChrisY1 Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Once again we witness the amazing skills of Thai drivers.....unfortunately, he didn't get the prize for best fall....he needed to go head first to claim that! 1
userabcd Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) Surely there should be regulations and standards in place for parking garage railings/barriers. Looking at the pics it seems those railings could be better designed and constructed to stop a motor vehicle impact, just as barriers on a highway are. Edited March 9, 2023 by userabcd 1
spidermike007 Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 What can one say? Pay attention when backing up in a parking garage? Isn't that basic driving 101? Darwin is proven right once again. The real question is, why doesn't this happen to the guys who really deserve it? We all know who they are.
Popular Post Rimmer Posted March 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 9, 2023 The driver admitted that at the time of the incident, he was in the process of collecting things in the car. This would seem to me that he had his head below the windscreen picking something up from the floor of the car, the car was still in reverse and when he realized he jammed his foot on the accelerator insted of the brake in his haste. 2 1

mran66 Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Misleading headline. Should say Brainless driver drove his car off the 2nd floor of parking building 1

Bangkok Barry Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I'd love to see how they retrieve the vehicle from that position. Not easy. 1

That sounds about right. If he had been going really slow the back wheels would have dropped and the car would have stopped with the wheels hanging over the edge.
Muzzique Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I assumed they mean mistook the accelerator for the brake. It's an easy thing to do if you're a Thai driver. 90% of the traffic on Thai raod has drivers who have the same problem. The same number seem to have Red Green colour blindness when tt comes to traffic lights too.

Wavel Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 It’s an inanimate object that didn’t fall anywhere. It got to where it is because of human interaction

gk10012001 Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I can believe the driver was trying to back into the parking space, but at some speed. He even went over the bump blocks that you can see in the photo
