But your choice of words (run away) not very nice, implies a little bit more.

My words were an observation, not an instruction so there's no way that they could be "not very nice" and they do not imply anything more.  That you make an incorrect inference is your issue, not mine.

MANY koz we have attitude and brains....

erm...  anyone with brains surely has sufficient self awareness to recognise they’d fail a UK driving test very quickly without first studying for the theory test and then practicing to get rid of the habits we’ve all adopted over the years or driving.

But..  if you are so confident... give it a go..

Wrong.

Perhaps YOU should read the Thai Highway Code.

Documents in both English and Thai attached, just to confirm what others on this thread have already told you.

English version: Sect. 73, p.27.

Thai version; Sect. 73, p.31/84

Perhaps me .............:stoner:

I passed motorcycle, car and heavy goods vehicle tests first time..........

Now a heavy goods test is a different kettle of fish to pass....????

I don't know how long you have lived here, but over my years I now know that road behaviour and driving is on the whole, abysmal.

If you have Facebook, have a look at "reels", you will see some incredibly daft live Thai driving stuff.

Actually, I over egged that....  the Theory is ridiculously simple...  (46/50 at the first attempt)...

But, I wouldn’t be so confident to pass the practical...  I’m sure silly habits would get in the way (one handed driving / crossing the arms / not using mirror enough / reversing one handed etc / drifting over a speed limit etc)....  it’d take far more concentration than driving normally does !

From the Land Traffic Act. Emphasis mine. "Coming from his right" means the people inside the circle.

I stand corrected then, i was told this by one of the ladies the first time i failed the written test.

Why doesn't this surprise me....    that the people actually administering the tests misunderstand the rules !!!!....  ????

Maybe you should engage yours more often then.

You think yourself SOOOO superior to Thais...on absolutely every level.  I wonder why people like you stay here, I really do.

Perhaps you can feel superior here, whereas back in your own country you would be well down the list

Of course, non-Thais never get into those situations, do they?

No never.

The disturbing thing is, I think you may actually be serious with that answer.

Not disturbing at all. I just couldn't find a sarcasm emoticon.

What is more disturbing is that you might actually think that Thai drivers are no worse than drivers from countries where the majority actually obey the rules of the road.

Back in 1976 I managed to actually FAIL a UK bike test, a feat that was considered, by my fellow apprentices, as totally impossible. It was wet, snowy and generally miserable and I was on a borrowed bike having crashed mine, at least that's my excuse :whistling:

I passed a month later on my own Suzuki GT250A ????

Where did I suggest that?

On Thai roads YES.

It's a different system here on Thai roads.

Your comment is strange, it has nothing to do with my comment.

You are off topic, the topic reads

Thai drivers are superior to Expat drivers!

The death toll is related to the unlicensed, unroadworthy vehicles, the Incompetent, poor parenting etc.

It's the Poor Policing that allow the lawbreakers to freely ride/drive on the roads, killing them too easily.

Start a new topic if you want to talk about the road deaths.
