A female motorbike driver was injured in the incident, which occurred earlier this month. The Phuket News reports that Ekkarat Plaiduang, chief of Chalong Police, has confirmed the driver has been tracked down and will face criminal charges. The motorbike rider, named as 24 year old Pichaya Pengprapai, was driving past the Fisherman’s Way housing estate on Wiset Road just after midnight on March 4, when a car side-swiped her as it passed her. She was knocked from her bike and into the road, incurring minor injuries. The car did not stop.
