Chaotic Pattaya Bar Fight Leaves Many People Injured

Pattaya — Two rival groups of young adults clashed in a Pattaya pub at 03:20 AM this morning, leaving many people injured. The careless groups threw bottles and punches at each other in front of law enforcement officers.

The violent fight erupted in a pub named YES Pattaya in the Pattaya area on Third Road today, April 2nd, 2023.

 

Two groups of young adults were found throwing verbal assaults and spirit bottles at one another inside the pub when police officers and Sawang Boriboon rescuers arrived.

 

The groups reportedly did not stop although the authorities had already shown up. Six injured people, excluding those who previously escaped and went to the hospital by themselves, were rescued from the pub and taken to Banglamung and Pattaya Hospitals.

I very much doubt foreign families, or many foreign singles for that matter, regularly frequent Yes. Even f they do, I doubt there would be many, if any, that haven't been in a club back home when things kicked off at least once.

Bars with expat customers get raided if still serving a couple of minutes after 2am.....Thai pubs keep open until the fighting starts...like this bar, after 3am.

Obviously that's not correct, otherwise this club (just 1 example...) on the little-known ???? Walking Street could not have opened until 4:30am.

Can confirm that. Lots of beer bars where I'm staying. They all close at 2 a.m.

Definitely not a place for foreign tourist. It's off 3rd Rd not far from north Rd.

Never noticed and would have mixed up with a motorcycle repair shop.

Many social media commenters also noted the time of the incident, asking why the venue was not closed at 2AM, the legal closing time for nightlife venues in entertainment zones in Pattaya. Pattaya police did not immediately answer this query.

 

They don't need to, do they. They are either corrupt, incompetent or both. And no-one at all would expect anything else.

That saying has been around for ages but it's as bad a bad joke now as it always was.

There may be families visiting, but IMO it's never been a family friendly place, which always suited me. Families have the rest of Thailand to ruin so they can go there instead.

Police went to Flexx precisely to do what you claim they were not doing.....enforcing closing hours.

 

Police only went to Thai bar (Yes!!) because there was a fight on.

Before Covid such clubs had no closing times.

I once lived in a hotel room overlooking an area to 3rd rd close to south rd.

A club made noise to be heard behind closed balcony door in 5th floor from 300m.

Lasted until sunrise when the guests drove off with their noisy two wheelers.

Around the club "townhouses", populated area!

So now guess how they could do so without being closed down?

Not in my home town, they're fighting outside the pubs, just like in Pattaya sometimes.

What is the big deal?  A stupid club fight and this is news?  Happens every weekend since I started going to clubs back in 1980.
