A 2018 Senate investigation that found there was “no evidence” to substantiate any of the claims of sexual assault against the US supreme court justice Brett Kavanaugh contained serious omissions, according to new information obtained by the Guardian.

The 28-page report was released by the Republican senator Chuck Grassley, the then chairman of the Senate judiciary committee.

It prominently included an unfounded and unverified claim that one of Kavanaugh’s accusers – a fellow Yale graduate named Deborah Ramirez – was “likely” mistaken when she alleged that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a dormitory party because another Yale student was allegedly known for such acts.

Anyone who followed the story at the time knew it was a sham. I'm glad to see people are getting fed up to the point that the pendulum, however reluctant, is swinging back towards sensible politics.

He finalized his Senate hearing by crying.

Wow, just a continual effort to smear a good person.  This is just so much malarkey.

Yes, indeed!  I feel very sorry for Mr. Maxey, unjustly smeared and presented as a scapegoat by those trying to get sex offender Kavenaugh confirmed.  Disgusting behavior.

Hopefully, the aforementioned documentary will have sufficient factual evidence to impeach. Voice recordings, interviews with witnesses, false testimony by Brett Kavanaugh. Remember him telling the Senate Roe v. Wade was ‘settled as precedent,’ then changing his mind after ascending the SCOTUS?

hope he gets his just desserts.
