Jomtien Condo for 1 year - recommendations

Featured Replies

Looking for suggestions. Ideally:

- small room is fine, i prefer nice facilities

- pool with good sun exposure

- quiet (no loud music, cars...)

- easy to get a Grab taxi

- not too far out (cafes, open market, etc.)
For example, is the "D-varee" condo area a bit too far from the 'center' of Jomtien? or is it that easy to just use the baht bus along the beach?

- hoping for 10,000-14,000/month

- fast internet

Of course I've searched the forum and I'll be visiting several places when I get there, but I'd appreciate any ideas from people with direct/extensive experience of that area.

1st decide who you are.

There are new modern condo’s (favored by Chinese) like Unixx or Treetops and there are old school condo’s (favored by European and western) like view talay’s.

You can cut the choices in half when you decide.

VT5 perhaps.. may pals living there seem happy enough.

I used to stay at The Gallery on Soi 8. Pools are on the rooftops, as are the gyms and sauna.
I used a DTAC 20 Mbps SIM and got 20 Mbps down with 4 Mbps down. YMMV.

Jomtiem feels grubby for some reason, Pratumnak much nicer.

Pratumnak = Little Moscow (fine if you like that sort of thing).

I see decent condos in Jomtien near to the beach for about 7,000 THB/month.

But the beach is dirty.

But travel to Pratamnack is a nightmare. You need to be on the baht bus route.

Packs of wild dingo’s on kasetsin. I don’t recommend walking around at night up there.
