Move Forward Party to Submit 45 Bills for Amendments and New Laws

I would add #9 Government Accountability.

The House would have power by majority vote to subpoena any government/quasi-government organizations (typically commissions chaired by the PM) and government oversight committees (ie., EEC, anti-corruption commissions, Industrial Estates), Cabinet members and associated top-down executive leadership to investigate any alleged corruption and/or failure to enforce laws and constitutional rights.

Sorry to be a fun spoiler again, for bills amending the constitution, it would require a majority vote of the parliament (375). On top of it, that majority must also include one-third of the Senate, and 20 percent of MPs from all political parties

Is my assumption therefore propable that nothing at all changes despite that this is all suggested by the winner of the election and must practically regarded as their manifesto ? If correct I do not really understand what the election is all about.

It will be a work in progress ... long, but at least started, hopefully.

90 yrs of power transferred to the military/people, and basically nothing has changed in those 90 yrs.

Maybe this generation and this administration can start that change ...

... IF ALLOWED

They can get some laws voted (it only needs a House majority), as long as there is no need to amend the Constitution.

As long as there is the current Senate, (one year) it is unlikely that it will agree to amend the Constitution.

After one year,  there will be a new Senate appointed. It won't be appointed by the government and the establishment will likely stack it as much as possible with its people. However, the whole new Senate may not be controlled by the establishment and it may be possible that one third of them may agree to a change. It will all depend how the new Senate is selected.

Nothing for farangs.

Are foreigners even allowed to organise themselves into a group to connect with the government and air all the issues with immigration and consulates ?

That is only way the S-show that is immigration rules gets fixed...

Permanent 90-day visa-exempt like Malaysia would be a good start.

or

an overhauled computer visa application system that is simpler and fast.

Maybe if someone can find the minister most likely to deal with farang visa stuff...it's a start.

Stable simplified universally applied rules......can but dream.

Didn't take long when reading through those proposed bills for MFP to lose my approval. Maybe the pro-junta types on here have a point.

Priorities, lol!

I just hope and pray this party isn't aligned with the woke globalist agenda. If these people are selected by the Davos/WEF crowd then the young Thai voter will be screwed yet again for another generation.

Who is this guy Pita Limjaroenrat anyway, and where did he come from all of a sudden? Wikipedia says he's a student of Harvard and MIT which makes him a perfect candidate amongst the globalist elite. I'd suspect the IMF can't wait to offer billions of $$ in loans to ramp up spending and set the stage for large foreign financial corporations to slowly sneak into the Thai economy and start the robbery. Feels like young MFP voters are having their Barack Obama moment, which was a A big trojan horse!

Too early to celebrate, but if the 100-senators doesn't vote him in; there's no way he becomes PM. Plus, the more parties they cooperate with to form a government, the less of these bills comes a reality.

Thailand certainly needs a young fresh leader, but I'm not a fan of someone making useless priorities by putting gay marriage their 2nd top enactment. Plain and stupid!

Nothing about exempting tin foil from VAT either, which must be disappointing.

By the way, there are 250 senators, not 100. At present he needs the support, or at least the abstention of 66.

and more tax for the rich

All sounds very well and good for the most part . However, people also ignore the fact that the issue with adding more tax for the rich is that it can discourage investment and economic growth. High taxes on the wealthy can reduce their incentive to invest in businesses, or start new ventures. When the wealthy have less disposable income due to higher taxes, they may be less likely to take risks and make long-term investments. In turn this can actually have a negative impact on job creation and economic development.

That is true but the rich in Thailand are very rich and there is in fact not a real middle class,

My suggestion is that everyone has to register in the place they are living and not in the blue family book anymore. That births are registered also at the amphur and don't to get an birthcertificate anymore, unless you need it. Modern registrations. And than that everybody has to fill in a tax form... So that the country knows who is living where, what there job is and how much they earn. Much easier to help people in time of need as we have seen in the Covid period. And yes maybe more tax income  too but statepension for the elderly have to go up and must be paid and I think that will be easier to implement

If your require anything special, suggest you head home and see what's available there for you, and while there checkout any special conditions that Thai's might enjoy.

Maybe start by enforcing the current rules first. Bounce the border bouncers and arrest the backdoor agents. Then start on reforming which visas they would like to offer.

Not our country!

All important things are ok.

Smaller issues are not worth being mentioned!
