From Wiki ...

"China (Chinese: 中国; pinyin: Zhōngguó), officially the People's Republic of China (PRC) ...

... China is a unitary one-party socialist republic led by the CCP. "

"With a change in the leadership, a series of political and economic reforms begun in 1978 has improved the economy and standards of living".

For being a 'new' country, they've made great strides forward since 1978. Not that I actually care or can do anything about their internal issues, but by buying 'made in CH', I'm supporting the state, which 'does' trickle down to people, and helps them greatly.  Being an excellent value for THB is simply a plus for me.

Along with the countries CH supports around the world.

It's work in progress.

Shopping in or from any country, and they all make krap, along with excellent products.   Simple ... choose wisely ... worldwide.

OFF topic ... left the USA, so not to support their world terrorism, regime change policies, through tax payments, I'm surely not going to buy any of their overpriced 'made in USA' products if I can avoid it.

UP2U ... but I'll buy the best product for the best price offered, and right now, that TH & CH.   The wallet and excess pocket money toward "my' family & smile take top priority.

Experience wins over news wire gossip.

UP2U ... but I believe what I know, not what I'm told.

But everything you know appears to come from wiki, you are continually copying and pasting from their website. So you obviously believe everything you are told by them.

Quite a contradiction to saying you believe what you know, not what you are told.

Simply pointing out 'estimates', and wide margin at that.  So which extreme to believe ? If you look at the 'sources', following that quoted text, half taken from someone 'selling' a book.  That's not suspect at all ????

Now if I saw a live feed, from beginning to end, I might, might, believe that.  With the CGI tech, even that becomes a bit suspect.

I believe info from self, or personally known, respected people.  Yep, so it's limited.  So I rely on my experiences, which differ greatly from others, especially those stating "I'd never own anything from CH, it's all crap".   So they are totally ignorant, with no experience, along with, owning a lot from CH, and simply ignorant to that fact.

World respected news sources ... simply Google which ever you think is, and add 'controversy' to the search.   Don't know many that haven't been called out for reporting or creating a false story/narrative.

Well, it was reported in the news.   As was WMD and that Gulf on Tonkin incident.   Oh yea, Lee Harvey Oswald, is not that good a shot.

Some people still think Pearl Harbor was a surprise ????

Not even going to touch the WTC, as simply goes against the laws of physics.

But you believe anything you want.

It was a simple question which you have not answered: “does that mean you don’t believe the Tiananmen Square massacre actually happened ?”

Thought already answered, though may have been deleted, yet another of mine today.

Answer: I wasn't there, so I don't know.  Did something happen, possibly, but to what extent, if at all, still don't know.

As I pointed out above, if not deleted, many things reported that probably didn't happen, but are still believed to have happened.

TS ... don't know, and sadly, don't care.   If that happened (1000s killed), and didn't cause a revolution, that says a lot also.

First of all, it’s CPC, not CCP. Education is beneficial.

I support a country that has lifted over 700 million of its citizens out of extreme poverty, where literacy is over 90%, where hardly anyone is homeless (unlike a major Western country). For Chinese citizens, this is what they consider human rights. Democracy (Western style) means nothing to them.

I also support a country that assists to improve living standards of under developed and developing countries around the world, especially in the Africa continent. Listen to the words of the African leaders and not the western propagandist MSM (although I doubt you will).

For the same reasons you avoid buying Chinese made products, I absolutely boycott any US products as part of the proceeds undoubtedly goes towards military equipment and ammunition that has killed millions of innocents and has brought us to the brink of another global conflict.

Back on topic, it costs me 1 baht to drive 1 km in my Chinese made car. Can’t think of a better reason to buy one lol.

First of all, it is known worldwide as both the CCP and the CPC, you make a fool of yourself by saying it is not the CCP.

As for education, you seem to be completely lacking in this field with regards to China; so here are just a few issues for you to research and educate yourself about:

More than one million Uyghurs, ethnic Kazakhs and Kyrgyz detained in concentration (sorry, reeducation) camps - in a systematic effort to eradicate their ethnic and cultural identity.

The repression of the religious and cultural identity of the people of Tibet. Forced labour. Tiananmen square, where thousands of young students were slaughtered by the government for protesting peacefully.

China, the World’s leading executioner, where the death penalty remains applicable for 46 offences, including non-lethal offences that do not meet the threshold of the most serious crimes under international law.

Giving Covid 19 to the world by keeping international flights open but locking down all internal travel.

Hong Kong.; complete repression of all freedom of speech.

Manipulating the Covid health phone app to spy on, and make “disappear” any anti-government activists.

Ignoring the judgment by an international tribunal in The Hague which came down overwhelmingly in favour of claims by the Philippines, regarding territory in the South China Sea. Militarisation of reefs and atolls in the sea, against international law.

Continually threatening to occupy Taiwan by military force.

The belt and road initiative with corrupt states, designed to blackmail them into ceding land to them, usually land where a deep water military naval base can be built.

Setting up illegal “police stations” in foreign countries.

And let’s not forget one of China’s most appalling violations of human rights; the forced sterilisation of thousands of young Uyghurs women; mutilating them and consequently denying them their biological imperative to give birth.

Unable to counter any of the points I made, or expose anything I said as untrue, you resort to the defeatist tactic of simply saying ‘brainwashed’

What a remarkably edifying response; surprised you didn’t just call it ‘propaganda’ which is your other go to tactic when faced with facts that you don’t like.

All your “points” are extracted from western MSM (propaganda), most of which has been proven to be untrue. Strange that the “genocide” of the Uyghurs is resulting in a population growth of these same people.

Unable, once again, to construct a valid argument against any of my well documented points, or, disprove any of them, you resort, once again, to the lame, transparent mantra “western MSM propaganda”

None of the points I made have been proven to be untrue, as you probably know only too well.
