Trusty, is absolutely correct and the jail term upon conviction will place the Donald into a Federal location, maybe Lompoc, or a Club Fed as some are known. He should fit right in and become the defacto leader of the club.....

I don't see any evidence yet that Trump will exit the race short of him being put behind bars. He could still run in prison but I think even republicans will understand nominating a jailbird is a losing proposition.

Can you explain how you came to the belief that the classified documents were declassified and he was able to keep them in his possession, without it first being cleared through the National Archives?  I am aghast that there are people who still believe this mans lies and his mantra.....

A rational defendant would negotiate a plea:  "Guarantee I don't serve time and I won't insist secrets be revealed in court."  I assume that is what Gen Patreus did.  I don't think "rational defendant" apples to Trump.

That is exactly what his lawyers should have done in last week's meeting. The claim is now that Trump is 100% going to be the nominee.

If he had been negotiating and turning the documents over as you say, there would never have been an investigation, and no it was not and is not being done as a political hack job.  Look at the evidence.  If there was no evidence a grand jury never would have decided there was enough evidence to indict.  You really are not looking very clearly at the situation.
