Couldn't agree more. The US is in big trouble. The days of someone semi- righteous, noble, or well equipped for the job of president are over. It is a horrendous job, that only a megalomaniacal person would want. Only lower quality people run for office now. America is on a rapid decline, and I don't think anything can be done to stop that. The current top 3 choices are horrendous. 

 

The system needs a 3rd and 4th party. Both the Democratic party, and the GOP are broken.

I wouldn't agree with that.  Having an old guy as President sure beats having a criminal or fascist wannabe.  Biden is getting stuff done, both at home and abroad.  The only thing I would disagree with him on is the student loan forgiveness.  But the courts may put an end to that.

thats because us non US people are not rusted on sheep that vote without using real facts and not following their parties rule books, we actually read all news reports so we have a much better understanding of what is happening and not just believe what our one sided media are saying because we know most of it is lies and innuendo. Tug you really are living up to your name mate, refusing to accept the truth in many situations, trump & biden are past it, desantis is actually trying to make it safer for kids and stop the far left garbage being promoted in schools, if you have not actually seen what is happening then you have closed your eyes to it, I have read some of the books, watched videos of the teachers etc and they are too far left, I have no problem with gay people as most do not but I do have a problem with teachers trying to get young kids to change their gender, learn about gay sex and how to "swallow" as well as many of the lies being propagated about US history but then I have an open mind that is not stuck on any one political party

I agree that Biden is the only decent choice. But, what I am saying is that the US is in a sad place, when  a man well past his prime, is the only viable option.

Yeah, I get you.  But it's the way the system works.  The Dems have many candidates who would be excellent Presidents.  But America won't elect a gay POTUS.  Or a woman.  Or a minority (after Obama).  Gavin Newsom?  He'd be labelled a socialist by the right just for being Gov of California.  The right wing media would crucify just about any Dem candidate, young or not.  That's why Joe Biden is the sound choice for today.  He's totally bland.  Almost painfully boring.  But the right has nothing on him.  That's why they keep bringing up his son Hunter.  And of course, his age.

What "right wing media" would that be? Hell, not even Fox News is right wing these days.  Are you saying the only viable Democratic possible candidates are gay/female/minority?  Lots of GOP candidates fit the latter two of those categories and they are being treated just like anyone else.  Except by the left wing media, of course.

Teachers "trying to get young kids to change their gender, learn about gay sex and how to "swallow"" are even rarer than voter fraud.  I'm not aware of it ever happening.

As indicated by my earlier post I think aspiring fascist is a reasonable description of DeSantis.  He has a record of pushing or exceeding the limit of legality to punish state officials and businesses who oppose him, restricting rights to protest and evading Florida's "Sunshine Laws" so people don't know where he is or what he's up to.
