Sunday out for a ride   was in a 7-11 and someone bumped into me , did not realise at the time  but they were after my Bike keys ,  they did not  get my keys but later I found out he had pick poketed my Credit card wallet and phone  .

i paid for my item  and aphone top up and went outside to be confronted by 2 Thai guys trying to Jemmy the lock on my bike and push it away ,, Immediately went into  attack mode  , and as im 65 and they were  under 30 and possibly armed I was as brutal as possible ,,hit one in the throat   he went down with bike on top of him , the other i got in a headlock and choked him out ,,  Some bystanders  helped me but a couple were trying to help the Thai guys ...Cops arrived ,, ambulance called  for the perps and cops found 2 more round the corner with a pickup and another stolen bike a Honda Cbr650

Spent a few hours at the  police station , the Thai cops were trying for a payday as they were trying to accuse me of using excessive force in the  protection of my property ,,but after my getting advisers on the phone the cops backed off ,,, i am Ok apart from a graze and a pulled muscle in my shoulder ,, One of the perps  is still in ICu as when I throat punched him the bike fell on him  and the clutch lever seems to have hit his throat again , The other 3 are in lockup one needed an overnight stay in hospital after I choked him out ,, I dont fight fair as Im old  now  and these Thai guys fight in packs  . Bike needs new Immobiliser  coil and  key switch  , lucky its not scratched as the  body of the  perp cushioned it ha ha

Oh yes when the perp I choked out was examined  , my Credit card wallet  and phone was in his pockets

I am sure I will hear more about this  soon

You are either full of doodoo, a moron, or worst case scenario both.

I'll stick with my first guess.

Waiting for the inevitable "I'm an ex-SEAL/LEO/MMA instructor etc.".....

You are however a real black belt in bullshi-do.

If actually true, it would 100% make (national!) news because it's just too good of a story not to make newsfeeds across all of LOS, and if it does, I will apologize and stick my head in the sand.

Wow, what a story. Ask the 711 if they can provide you with their CCTV footage. Would be an awesome memory to have.

Why would anyone steal a bike parked in front of a 7/11? There are people constantly there and any shoppers are back out within a few minutes. No way they'd push and lift a bike like a Z900 onto a truck in time. Plus there's always CCTV. And on top all the heroic fighting.

Sounds a liiiitle bit too much like a story.

10 out of 10 plus a lot more! Surely the owner of the Honda CBR 650 should find a way to express his gratitude?

Post the police report and any doubters would be immediately be silenced. You have to admit it sounds a bit... unusual.

I am confused when others doubt this story.

Obviously I also don't know if it is true. But what would be the point of writing something like that otherwise?

To get applause from people he doesn't know for something he didn't do? Do people get high on something like that?

It should been all over media by now and at least a police investigation pick with 10 police  men, thieves and violated victim

There have been dozens of threads opened on this forum by various people that are completely obviously just made up stories. We can speculate what the intent behind such postings is but we wont know for sure and it could be a different reason for every person. One thing is for sure: humans like to tell stories and Thailand is full of "interesting personalities". And so one might lean a little bit on the sceptical side ????

I do not doubt the op at the moment. However if I remember what fantastic stories some Girls come up with, without any evidence. Yes they are out there. Ok, in case of the Girls its mostly money or revenge.

Maybe, I don't know.

Sometimes I hear or see things happening and I don't see it in the news and I wonder why.

But to be fair, I look at only a few Thai news sources - which are in English.

Book 'Em, Danno.

Story or not I say let's learn a lesson...!

Keep your belongings safe from pick pockets...

And I would never engaged in such a situation, just shout loud at them and they would run off... Thieves like that probably have weapons, knife, guns etc. , and Thais never fight fair and attack in numbers....!

Credit Card and even bike can be replaced, ruptured kidney or liver can not...., it could be the end, and not worth it...! ????
