Long term renting options

Featured Replies

Hi,

we rented for a year at 16k for a ford ecosport.

we are into our second year of a two year contract. We will know in December if we renew for another year.

what should we do? Just rent same for another year? Are there any better rental options?

I wouldn’t mind to pay a little more for a bigger/better car.

thanks

If you're renting at B16k per year, as you posted, I'd stick with it, you won't find a much better deal than that.

Got to be 16k a month.

Long term rentals here are not cheap.  If you like the car and have not had issues with it, why not continue.

May I ask the age of the car when you started the rental?  Any mileage restriction?  Also, where did you source the car?  Interested.

My recommendation go to a car auction I bought a 1 yr old car still under warranty for 310000 bht  I’ve been driving the car for 8 1/2 years. Other than oil changes really have had no other expenses well one set of tires you do the math. TIT

Sorry 16k a month for a year.

That's 192k baht for one year, 384k for two years; and 576k for three years, or another 192k baht in rent.

You can buy low mileage second hand Ford Ecosports from around 300k baht, link HERE...:whistling:

Does anyone know trustworthy long term rental options - I’ve seen a company in Hua Hin - name something like huahin chaam car rental and they seem to have very new modern MGs and xpander for about 18/19K if you rent for a year.

anyone heard of them or know of any other good companies?

been offered an MG zs for 18k a month.

Not a good deal when it's for 3 years, and you could buy it for less. ????

After 3 years the car be worth 40% less plus insurance and rego, maintenance.

So he'd have 300,000 baht as opposed to 0, after 3 years of the deal. ????

300,000 less 40% is 180,000 less costs

3 years at 500b per day = 547,500

40% = 219,000

547,500 - 219,000 = 328,500b

If buying a model at 547,500 and losing 40% as you claim, he would be left with an asset worth 328,500b, as opposed to no asset, worth 0 baht.

Did you not pass 2nd grade math?
