GOP debates coming up 23 Aug, so far it's 7 candidates who've qualified.

Gonna be a blast! I am thinking Vivek will stir things up. The guy is scary smart and has innovative ideas. Hell, he was worth in excess of $10 million before he graduated from law school! I can see him tearing after DeSantis in particular

IMHO Trump is terrified to get on a stage with both Big Chris and Vivek gunning for him. Guarantee he doesn't show up for this one.

Did you particularly like this proposal?

"Ramaswamy argues that the United States should use the military to directly take on Mexican drug cartels and “end the fentanyl epidemic in this country." He has furthermore stated "We can do it to Bin Laden, we can do it to Soleimani, we can do it to the Mexican drug cartels south of the border."[33]"

Say what you will about America's recent wars, at least they were far from our borders so massive and prolonged  blowback was impossible for its opponents to accomplish. Can you imagine what the retaliation of enemies who share a very long border would look like? You think American citizens will cheer this incursion even if it means they'll be getting blown up in return? And for what? How can anyone be so fatuous like Ramaswamy  as to believe that drugs are a supply side problem? Any drug. But fentanyl most of all, given how much power it packs into such a very small package. This idea is nuts. Anyone who believes otherwise has learned nothing from the past 50 years about what wars can and cannot accomplish.

Is Donnie going to show up?I will watch it just to watch them all cowering in terror of hurting Donnie’s ever so fragile ego that beeing said it will be fun to watch Christie rip him a new one popcorn at the ready also starting a war with Mexico is a stupid idea besides most of the fentanyl comes from China it will be entertaining I’ll give ya that

Let's see; you think it's a good idea to commit an act of war against one of our neighbors (one which has a far more legitimate grievance against us, we're providing the guns the cartels use to kill Mexicans) in order to prevent the importation of a drug easily smuggled into the US in any number of ways.

Does that sum it up?

Meanwhile, the economy under Biden isn’t doing too shabby:

https://www.npr.org/2023/06/02/1179621886/jobs-employment-employers-labor-market-economy-recession-inflation

“Hiring surged last month as U.S. employers added 339,000 jobs, far above expectations, according to a report from the Labor Department on Friday.

The job gains for March and April were also stronger than previously reported. The April jobs figure was revised up by 41,000, while the March number was revised up by 52,000.

The strong jobs numbers indicate the U.S. jobs engine continues to chug along, with substantial hiring in business services, health care and hospitality.”

You don't understand. People don't care whether or not they have jobs when it comes to the economy. They don't care how easy it is to find them.  What they care about is....scratch that.

The juxtaposition of using taxpayer money to raid women’s health care while the country faces a raging opioid and fentanyl crisis does not exactly scream 'tough on crime.'"

What's more, Corley believes that following this road will inevitably lead Republicans to conclude that women who take abortion pills should be jailed for terminating their own pregnancies, which he said would simply be disastrous politics.

"Even a year ago, the idea that a woman would be sent to prison over abortion care would have been brushed off as sensationalist," he writes.

No one wants an opinion pieces from Fox, yet you think an opinion piece from left leaning, progressive source will fly.

You don't believe this is the single biggest problem facing the GOP's election prospects?

What's next from maga fascist DeSantis?

That holocaust survivors learned useful skills?

You almost couldn't make up this slavery was good vocational training absurdity, but heck, it's real.

Personally I think DeSantis has lost the plot and now has no chance of being nominated.

So someone else who isn't maga could step in but probably not.

Well it came from Fox News instead. If you can imagine it, they will go there!

Ron DeSantis allies press for a campaign shake-up
There’s particular scrutiny around campaign manager Generra Peck and whether she’ll hang on to her position.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The long knives are out for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign manager amid a cash crunch and flagging poll numbers.

Generra Peck, DeSantis’ top aide, is “hanging by a thread,” said a DeSantis donor who is close to the campaign.

Some allies communicated themselves or through proxies that they want DeSantis to fire Peck or “layer” her — a less public demotion in which she would have to report to a new boss — according to two more DeSantis allies familiar with discussions around the campaign’s struggles.

Except that never happened. Sorry.

The FLA curriculum says that slaves learned things during their servitude that later in their life as free citizens were useful. Not that slavery itself was beneficial.  Please stop spreading lies.  Don't believe everything Kamala Harris tells you.

This goes the way of the don't say gay bill which never says it. Educate yourself with who came up with the curriculum of slavery taught in Fla.

What problem, an article filled with could be's and would be's isn't evidence. Just a dog whistle for the far left who want to believe the worst. Fear is a great seller.

The left seems to get angry when the right calls it a baby rather than a fetus, but the left wants to call it "women's heath care" when they are talking about abortion.

Carry on

Total BS. Sorry, but you are so deluded about how Dems think it's actually concerning.

Consider this ad for Trump.

'Most alarming political ad': Pro-Trump activists release disturbing campaign message

What I said was: The left seems to get angry when the right calls it a baby rather than a fetus, but the left wants to call it "women's health care" when they are talking about abortion.

What does your response have to do with what I said? And to be clear, I never accused Democrats of thinking.

Not too surprising.  We should also take notice of not just who produces fake news, but who tends to believe it.  I recall reading an article about fake news trolls in Macedonia who had zero political leanings.  They produced fake news for money and in 2016, pushed stories that supported both Hillary and Trump.  But the fake news that helped Trump were much more likely to be believed and shared.  So that's where the money was and that's all they cared about.
