Thailand’s female CEOs soar but the gender equality gap remains
my wife manages a large business and the pay she gets is well below what she should be paid, it is a good wage for Thailand but below what males are paid for the same work, unfortunately Thailand does not regard female workers in the same light as male workers. -

Suvarnabhumi Airport to handle 80 million passengers yearly by 2031
As usual, you just go on, and totally missed the point. Starting to be a sad trend, Malcolm. I will help you there as well. My comment was sarcasm, and pointed on that I don´t believe they will reach such numbers. I thought you understood that I had no intention standing counting the visitors. -

Putin's Strategic Advances on NATO's Southern Border
Shhh. Don’t say that. You will upset some posters on here. They don’t accept that NATO expands, only that countries, even if thousands of kms from the North Atlantic applies to join. Even Japan might soon be part of the North Atlantic. -

Tragedy Strikes as Two Teenagers Drown at Pong Din Dam Reservoir Si Racha
“media temporarily unavailable“ In a heartbreaking incident, two 17-year-old girls drowned on the morning of August 29, at the Pong Din Dam Reservoir in Moo 12, Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. The girls were part of a group of 14 teenagers who had gone to the reservoir for an overnight outing. The group arrived at the reservoir late at night on August 28, to relax and enjoy their time together. At around 06:00 in the morning, they decided to go for a swim and some boating. Two of the boys from the group initially took out a plastic boat measuring 250 by 80 centimetres, paddling around the reservoir while the others played by the water's edge. Later, four of the teenagers, including the two girls identified as Din and Preaw, asked to take the boat across the reservoir, which was approximately 100 metres wide. However, as they were about to return, water began seeping into the boat, causing it to capsize. The two boys who could swim managed to hold onto the boat, but the two girls, unable to swim, tragically drowned before their friends could rescue them. Local police from Si Racha Police Station, along with the Pure Ruam Jai Si Racha rescue team and the village head, quickly arrived at the scene. After over an hour of searching, the bodies of the two girls were recovered from the reservoir, much to the grief of their family members and friends. The bodies were sent to the hospital for an autopsy. -- 2024-08-30 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -

Harley-Davidson Shifts Production to Thailand, Sparking Uproar (short)
also Aed Carabao, the Thai 'Country - folk' singer that had a hit 'Made in Thailand' that decries the rise in popularly of imported goods in the 80s, ironically loves to be kitted out in Jeans and Harleys - few of the very thing his songs rally against.... now that they're mad in Thailand.... -

What happens to visas with a new passport ?
You are mistaken, Immigration cannot transfer a vignette nor can they change the passport number on an e-visa. Years ago you could take your pasport to the consulate in Hull and they would put a visa stamp in your new passport, but that stopped when vignettes were introduced. I came back on a new visa last Oct and did the 12 month extension in Dec. Yesterday I went to do the first 90 day in person and had to give them a copy of a visa that had been expired 10 months. Maybe one day they will get the act together and update visa and passport details across immigration on entry. -

How to remove bitumen / tar from car?
As said Diesel will soften/dilute it. But take care not to spread it. You may need to scrape it off with something like a lolly stick. -
