Thailand will follow soon Oh yes, that's correct. Thailand and France have already many things in common, country size, population size, renowed cuisine, popular tourist destination....
Popular Post Andycoops
The blue touchpaper has been lit by the corrupt EC and all the other army and pro army, conservatives. I can imagine a huge explosion of disgust from the population, I am happy not to be living in Bangkok. The disenfranchisement of the people's will, will lead to a further eroding of the county's standing.

Pita put his own head in the noose. He should have disposed/distanced himself from the "media shares" as soon as he entered politics. To still be holding something that could be manipulated against him was simply foolish. 3 1

Popular Post spidermike007
This surely demonstrates the extreme corruption and impartiality of the EC. Surely they could have done this earlier, to prevent the interruption of the voting the entire nation has been waiting for, on the 13th. The EC, the toxic, army appointed senators, the army itself, and the elite had better watch out. If they mess with the will of the people this time, all bets are off. 3 4

Another rare moment of agreement...that should have done immediately after it was known. Now it could even happen that the senators don't vote him because there is the case at the court and than 1 week later the court dismiss the case....which would be really dirty. As much as I don't want to see Pita as PM that is not the correct way

Popular Post Purdey
Somehow, not surprised. Having worked with and known personally several government officers, they are frankly afraid of being sued if they don't follow the law, no matter how petty it seems to foreigners. The law states that MPs are not allowed to hold shares in a media company. It doesn't differentiate between 2 shares or 42,000 shares. * Thanathorn ignored this. Banned. * Peta ignored it - off to court. Peta held the shares for many years as an executor. Years during which he could have disbursed them to someone at any time. Finally, he disbursed them this year. As if somehow he just realized the sh*t he was in. If the constitutional court finds him innocent of holding media shares, the court could be in trouble. As many here want to ignore the illegality, perhaps the court will too and everyone will be happy. Personally, I think Peta has been too naive by not understanding that the old guard would check everything about him to find a tool with which to remove him. Footnote: Wikipedia says: There were recent (from 2022) attempts to revive ITV with the aim of attacking Pita. ITV's description was changed from “a holding company principally engaged in the non-financial business” to “television media” in 2022, despite the company being unable to carry out television broadcasts. The description was changed again in 2023 to “advertising media and returns from investments”. 1 1 2

Yes you are right about some points but please do not forget if there would not have been any shares the losing outgoing party would have found some thing else.
