repair wheels on rolling suit case/ bags

Featured Replies

Hi, gang have a few bags that I use but the wheels are worn down.

Does anyone know where in BKK i can get them repaired?

I'm sure there are cheaper options around, but I've used Mr Bag Fix for a couple of repairs, and they did a good job. I haven't specifically used them for wheels though.

I had a damaged wheel on my luggage during a trip to Thailand and tried several local places that advertised "Bag Repair", but they were unable to repair damaged wheels on Luggage. I think they are more handbag repair places, rather than full sized luggage.

In the end I went into Mr DIY and bought some wheels in there that I do not believe were made for luggage, but fortunately matched exactly with the holes on my luggage, along with some screws and bolts, a small screwdriver and pair of pliers and repaired them myself. After another trip to Thailand since then the wheels are still good and holding, and much cheaper than buying new luggage.

They seemed to have a whole section of loose swivel wheels on metal bases of different sizes, along with some pre-packaged sets, so perhaps worth checking if the existing wheels can easily be removed from inside and then a trip to Mr DIY (Stores all over Bangkok can be found on Google Maps) and then making some new holes in your existing case to make the new ones fit, if they need four holes like the ones I got.

luggage rules

you can just change the rules yourself by speaking the luggage name then the new rules, like islamic divorce without the repetition

Ditch those fancy hard bags n invest in this ... I hear they're very chic ...

And if the wheels are odd size...there are many people who want to earn money with 3D printing

Does anybody know repair shop to fix luggage rules in Chiangmai?

May not be applicable but Chiang Mai. Bought my "Eagle Creek" roll-on years and many miles ago. Lifetime guarantee. The wheels were shot. Eagle Creek directed me to the "North Face" shop in Central Festival Mall (they sell/sold the Eagle Creek brand). They replaced the wheels under warranty.

Search ytube. Might have parts list. I repaired my suitcases with ebay parts. Measure dimensions and find something close.  Shoe repair guys are fairly talented if need installation help,

Not BKK specific but do a search on Lazada for ‘luggage wheels’, there’s a host of them.

It would be self-repair though.

Cheap and effective, if damaged just bin it and buy a new one - a lot more cost effective.

Did someone miss the humour?

Lazada has the wheels in the form of a kit with rods etc.  If DIY has them, buy them. YouTube has a tutorial on how to install them. I make sure you buy a set of 2 or 4. 4 if you want the bag to roll evenly. 2 if you don't care.

If you got money to wear out the wheels on a roller bag, you got money to buy a new Xaomi 20" hardshell plastic case roller bag on Lazada for B2209. ????

Fits in any overhead bin, no need to wait for checked baggage.

They even ship it right to your door, busy Salaryman.

Chop, chop. ????

Someone had a very serious leg injury. I certainly don't think that's funny.
