Do they do it monthly again?

Some years ago I had ToT internet in my flat that I was paying for monthly but as I was leaving for work for a few years I cancelled it.

When I went back on my return to reconnect they would not let me pay monthly, only yearly. In fact told me that it's now company policy that farangs cannot pay monthly.

I declined and went to SBN who have no problem accepting farangs that pay monthly.

The bill is in my name and it is a monthly invoice. The updated version in English, with English address, arrived October 18th. Very happy with that. I don't know why I was treated differently than you.

I have since used this bill to clear verification with two non-Thailand accounts and hopefully something back at the Swiss OASI.

The only complaint I have at present is NT ToT do not seem to support direct Debit (which I am realising is not a thing in Thailand). I prefer not to have to remember to pay bills. Best I could do was set up 12 regular payments via SCB. Is there an equivalent to the good old Direct Debit here? Anyway, I will set a calendar reminder to refresh the payments in a year.

Are you talking Internet bill or 'phone bill? It was some years ago that I had the problem with them over internet services so maybe they have switched back to accepting Farangs paying monthly.

But then again, my 'phone bill is automatically paid by direct debit, so it is, or was possible.

Of course it does..... although one might fear a rogue bill one day. Quick scan with a banking app seems easier.
