I believe that is simply undeclared......I can understand not wanting to declare and having to prove where it came from etc etc... but you and the wife traveling apart seems an inordinate effort.

      IMO only two types want to exchange their home currency to Thai baht before they enter Thailand; the totally naive and the criminals. Which is the OP?
