I thought it would have been a lot cheaper for his sister to pop to the eye doctor with him as she is already there in the country as well as plenty more minions. What a performance and this airhead is bidding to become prime minister, more concerned about taking pics to upload to Tik Tok and Instgram.. Finally, after many years, many Thaksin and PT supporters realize that that party and their leader was never about democracy. It's about power and money - and it always was. I don't know what will happen in the next weeks and months. But I am pretty sure that whatever government will come now won't last very long. And then there is a lot of hope for the next government. And that hope will be extinguished once more, as it has been in recent weeks and several times before. Groundhog Day until the end of time.

Does Thaksin have an Ace up his sleeve now that he did not have previously? I think he could very well have. The Machiavelli of Thailand, Prem, is no longer around so hard to say what will happen. Prem's apprentice and top supporter Surayud Chulanont is now head of the privy council. As for entering the country, Prayut currently oversees the police commission that will appointment a new national police chief before Sept 1, possibly Surachate Hakparn, who doesn't seem to like Thaksin. But who knows, Thailand's power structure runs deep. Edited August 17, 2023 by rabas 1 1

Ring a bell? Probably forgotten by most, but doesn't justify the unlawful killing of innocent people - that's excluding known and confirmed drug dealers that probably only accounted for a small majority of the killings.

Say what we want about Thaksin and there is a lot of good and bad depending on where you live but it remains that he has been a political force and winner in Thai politics for a long time. This latest election was showed him that his old ways had lost the bite. Promises of money didnot win the election. They did win 2nd and like a good leader he planned and created a road map that got them to first. Now he is not only seeing first place slip away but because of deals that people are making that I am sure he did not sanction. (there is no way that with the military in the coalition he wsa coming home) They havenow started to see the loss of their base. The people buring red shirts in PT strongholds is not a sign that he has guaranteed support from them. Also remember it ws Thaksin that promised that the party would not join the uncles in order to get the PM slot. It is ot his eyes that are causing the probelm it is his allergy steel bars and walls. Remember the last coup was because YT deicded to try to bring him home and the mlitry coalilton partners rebelled.

Simply pull a military coup, steal the entire country at the point of a gun. Tear up the existing constitution and get a new one written by your mates, that gives you and all your mates an amnesty for ALL past, present and future acts. Promise the Thai people whatever they want, knowing that once you are in total control, they won't get anything anyway,

I have to see one doctor in September about one problem, and a different doctor in a different hospital about a different problem. If you don't listen to your doctor, your life can get difficult very quickly. I, like you have no idea why he went for an eye exam but at his age (74) having an eye problem can complicate your life very much. I didn't start wearing glasses until I was 50, my first wife in the UK started wearing them at 11 years old. I admire his daughter for travelling to Dubai even if all she does for Thaksin is simply be there. https://www.webmd.com/eye-health/eye-doctors-optometrists-ophthalmologists https://www.webmd.com/eye-health/eye-doctors-optometrists-ophthalmologists#1-1 There are two main types of eye doctors: ophthalmologists and optometrists. Confused about which is which and who does what? Here's a look at how they're different. Keep in mind that these professionals can work together and that a team approach can be the best option for eye care. Optometrists are not doctors, they are technicians. There is only one type of eye doctor, and that's an ophthalmologist. He was due to be in Thailand on August 10th. He cancelled his plans due to 'doctors orders' but we see him getting an eye exam on the 15th - almost a week later. We do not know if this is even a real picture, if it is a doctor or a technician, a hospital or an opticians.... there is nothing to show that he needed to stay where he was. He was just next door in Cambodia for a birthday party with another dictator on Saturday the 5th, but was fine to fly off to Dubai at the end of the party. He is a self serving, lying piece of sh+t. Not only that, but he is a billionaire with a fleet of private jets. Are you telling me he didn't have the resources to come back and face justice... or is it more likely that he didn't come back because he was afraid of his ass getting pounded in a Thai prison?
