nothing new, the ones that give out the positions and the "cake boxes" will always get their way, once again we see the corruption in Thailand fully out in the open, last thing these people want is an honest government that will stop all their graft. The only way it will end is if the people stop voting for the BS parties that are only in it to get their snouts in the trough and vote for the only decent thai political party so they have the seats to win the PMs position

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT today (Aug.16) dropped a petition seeking a court judgement as to whether Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat may be legally given a second chance of being named prime minister, thus automatically denying it.

The Constitutional Court judges reached an unanimous decision to waive up the case earlier filed by the Office of the Ombudsman, practically denying Pita the second chance of being named and voted prime minister following the May 14 election which has turned his Move Forward into the country’s No.1 largest elected party.

For the first time last month, Pita had been named head of a post-election government but failed to get adequate support from among MPs and senators.

Pita Not Petitioning Charter Court On Second PM Nomination
by TNR Staff

MOVE Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat said this afternoon (Aug. 16) he is not going to petition the Constitutional Court to rule whether he is legally allowed a second chance to be nominated prime minister pointing out this is a problem for Parliament to resolve, Matichon newspaper said.

The Ombudsman had sought a ruling on a House/Senate vote last month to deny him a second chance to be named and voted prime minister on grounds it violated Article 42 of House regulations.

However this court ruled today that the Ombudsman is not a person or entity directly involved or affected in this matter.

Pita said Move Forward MP and party spokesman Rangsiman Rome had already submitted a motion to discuss this issue at the House/Senate meeting.

Uhm. The Constitutional Court told you that you need to petition them yourself. Why wouldn you forego this opportunity? Why would you think the Parliament will resolve the issue for you if it was the Parliament who created the issue for you in the first place?

I don't understand the strategy at play here. Anyone got an explanation?

There need to be new elections....The ITV shares of Pita, the mistakes by the EC,. the unwillingness of the CC they all ask for it.. Keep the streets empty and hold new elections... otherwise the people will come out and who knows what will happen.
