I've had extensive dental work done at BIDC, but their prices are now high.

I did extensive research last year and sent my panoramic opg x-ray to 20 different dentists in Australia, Thailand, Turkey and India.

After receiving responses and checking customer reviews :

by far the best and most affordable clinic for serious dental work is Dentzz in Mumbai.

Everyone ?  Have any of them actually had work done here ?

Thailand is not inexpensive for dental work.  I wouldn't bother unless you have really crap dentist in home country.  And which country would that be ?

How about hair restoration? Catch hiv? Scam? Is PRP real.

A Farang guy that's been living in Thailand for many years that I follow on YouTube might have the answer you are looking for.

Im wondering if this post is written by the same daggy guy who made this video. He wears shorts everywhere. Now he is trying to promote that dental clinic. He gets commission no doubt. Hard way to make money for this american in the shorts and tee shirt everyday.

The reason someone would go for dental work in Thailand, is because it's supposedly 'cheap'. If one wants 'cheap', India, Bangladesh, or, perhaps, Turkey, might be other choices.

One of the most important factors for a successful dental treatment is a perfect communication between dentist and patient.

That might not be that important when it comes to a cleaning or a small filling but if the dentist plans a bridge, an implant or even a removeable prosthetics for his patient and fails to explain him exactly what he has to expect, problems are almost guaranteed.

Another very important factor, especially in a tropical country like Thailand, is disinfection and sterilization.

The regular control and calibration of your X-ray devices is another important point, in order to protect your patient, your staff and yourself.

I've seen guys going from clinic to clinic, up to 20 different places, to find the cheapest place. That might not be the best idea.

When you open a dental clinic in Thailand, you must apply for the licence in the local health authority. If your paperwork is OK, they will make an appointment with you, to check your place. Trust me, the regulations are very strict and there are many of them.

But they come only one time and then never again.

In Western countries you must test your X-ray machines and your autoclave (a machine that sterilises the instruments with temperatures between 110 and 140 degrees Celsius) on a daily base and keep all the reports. Not in Thailand.

If you are getting a molar implant, you may need to stay for over 3 month, if you need bone graft may be even longer.

That is not entirely correct:

It makes no difference if your implant is in the molar or in the front area. It will need about 3 months to completely heal in and be able to take the load of any kind of supraconstruction, no matter if this is a crown, a bridge or something different.

And you definitely do not need to stay for that period of time. A brief check or, if required, the removal of the stitches one week after the surgery and you're good to go home.

But then you have to come back after 3 months (or later, as once those implants have grown in, it doesn't matter, if you put the supraconstruction on them 3 or 6 or 24 months later) to get your final dental work.

Just the facts.

Nana Dental Clinic in Huahin put 6 implants, upper and lower jaws for my GF two years ago. Have two year grantee on the implants, and 6 month revisits for checkup. Excellent work. Total cost 210,000฿.

Very well explained.

If I may add 1 very important point: the manufacturer of your implants.

Please understand, that the implant is basically the artificial root made of titanium or ceramics, which is inserted in the bone. After the healing period the so-called abutment will be put on the implant, which connects the implant with the denture.

Now there is no such thing like US standard or EU DIN norm when it comes to implants. The implants of every different manufacturer have a different geometry, that might be an inner octagon or an outer hexagon, which requires a different set of tools.

It is comparable to cars: you cannot put the spare part of a Ford into a BMW, even if it is the same device.

So it is mandatory to get implants from one of the leading companies and the surgeon must inform you about the manufacturer and the type of implant you got.

To not know your implant type is like not knowing your automobile manufacturer. What are you going to do if something must be replaced?

Well, when it comes to cars, it shouldn't be such a big problem to find out, which company produced it. Normally it's written somewhere on the car.

Not so, when it comes to implants.

And if your implant is from some cheap no name company and you need a spare part for it after a few years or maybe you have lost some more teeth and want to use this implant, which was carrying a crown, to insert a bridge, there is a high chance, this company does not exist anymore, and then good luck.

Sorry, i thought my post was obvious that I'm going to Thailand just for a dentist.

So anywhere in Thailand.

Yesterday I sent you a personal message.

Yet since then, you've been visiting this forum a few times but did not read your messages.

You might find the answer to your question in there.

Where are you coming from? It's likely that there are better options elsewhere. For example, I had two dental implants and a bridge done in Costa Rica. First rate work and less than in Thailand.

We always used Thonglor Dental Hospital, which seemed to do decent work at decent prices, and I never had a complaint

That being said, the two crowns I had done there both failed within 5 years.

Crowns I had done 20+ years ago in California are still going strong.

Had both the failed crowns replaced in the US, 3 years on they are still solid

So make of that what you will. Maybe I was just unlucky?

Dental  work is  not really cheap in Thailand anymore, May be compared to the US or Down Under, having not really an idea how much you are paying in Australia but i had a guest doing all her teeth here in 6 weeks and she was absolutely happy (in Phuket)
Just to give you a number.  I had a teeth pulled out in Chiang Mai in 1993 for 30!!! Baht only by a great  English speaking dentist. Atm prices for this "work" is between 600-1000.-Baht
The tourist areas are more expensive but  when you are lucky you can still find good dentists in the Cities away from Phuket, Pattaya and Bangkok. I  guess the  rural areas in Bkk are cheaper too.
I am having a nice dentist atm in Nongkhai, he  has another Cliniqe in UdonThani too and his prices are reasonable.
:
But to say its cheap at least is not true for Europeans anymore, many travel to Hungaria or Slovakia or other eastern European countries where the work is often better and cheaper as in Thailand.
:

I am aware of this thread is from August but i was searching for a DENTIST in NONGKHAI  and could not find anything here
:
Cheers and have fun. I  will gladly let you know how my experience really was when it is all  done in a couple of weeks

Great, in Phuket  they asked me for something similar between 600-800,000 THAIBAHT,
Unfortunately in Thailand you are often taxed by skincolour and if you are a foreigner or Farang, prices are often triple the prices for average Thais.  This dentist was  in Phuket town, opposite a huge hotel and i will not name him here, even if i  really would like to ????
