German Hells Angels Gang Member Apprehended in Thailand

BANGKOK, Aug 25 (TNA) – Immigration police arrested a German national who is believed to be a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang and is wanted for assault by the authorities in his country.

 

The suspect was arrested in Chiang Rai following a formal request for an extradition of Mr. Dennis Fischer, a 50-year-old German citizen to face charges related to severe assault of a man in his home country.

 

Thai authorities launched an investigation and tracking operation to locate Mr. Fischer who entered Thailand using a non-immigration visa with permission to stay in the kingdom until July 12, 2024. The police found that the suspect was hiding in the area of Muang District, Chiang Rai Province.

 

Mr. Fischer was apprehended and transferred to the Office of the Attorney General's International Affairs Division for further legal proceedings.

Wow....such a major announcement  and fanfare for a foreigner with a home country arrest warrant.  Heck, in the U.S. they arrest wanted motor cycle gang members everyday....take them to jail...no fanfare....just a short entry in the daily police blotter.

If he had a visa, how was he hiding?

 

Oh and every long-term visa (1yr) should have a international criminal background check, like we do with the elite visas, setting aside there's been a. few criminals with elite visas, at the time they would have been issued it would have been verified not the case under interpol. 

 

This way we can truly clean up the country of oiks.

German Hells Angels suspect detained in Thailand, extradition underway

A German man suspected of being a Hells Angels member has been detained by immigration officials in Chiang Rai.

 

The arrest of the suspect, Dennis Fischer, took place at a hotel in the northern province’s Muang district this Tuesday, as revealed by Phanthana Nuchanart, deputy commissioner of the Immigration Bureau.

 

Fischer was reportedly in possession of a one-year non-immigrant visa, set to expire on July 12 of the coming year. In a bid to capture the 50 year old suspect, German authorities had sought the assistance of the Royal Thai Police for Fischer’s location and subsequent extradition.

 

The deputy commissioner shared that Fischer is believed to be a part of the Hells Angels motorcycle group, operating out of the German port city of Kiel. The German authorities have alleged that Fischer and his female companion enticed a man to a public swimming pool, where he was then shot in the thigh.

I sometimes wonder where the airline staff places such guys as nobody would feel comfortable in their presence.

Did you hear that?  The collective tightening of thousands of sphincters when they read this and realized that they weren't out of the woods hiding in Thailand. 

 

That's why these articles are valid.  Cautionary tales...  Great if it stops a few of them for buying a ticket to hide out and continue their antics in Thailand.

You should not judge a book by its cover. He may well be a decent respectful person.  The fact he may have shot a guy in his leg and not his head shows some restraint. Plus who knows the reason for the shooting incident. If I had a choice between having a beer with a bunch of bikers or politicians I would always choose the bikers.
