Hi everyone, could everyone please mention his or her favourite local Thai restaurant, no tourist restaurant please.

A good question and hopefully we will get some decent replies. Ignore the jerks or the bullies hiding behind their screens and criticizing your question, that I find is of interest. Sorry to be of no help as my small knowledge of Thai restaurants is not in the Bangkok metro area.

Use Gmap, having photos & reviews, possibly a current menu and as you can see, a much better info resource than AN.

Did you read the replies so far ... ????

4 or 23 replies have suggestions, and in touristy areas, I think.

Yes agree, a 'chat' forum.

Want info, then Google/Gmaps would be my first stop.  If all else failed, then a forum.

She would have got a better response if She would have asked about where the best 99 Baht English breakfast in Pattaya is that serves breakfast at 4 PM

OP... Answers:

Sabai-Jai-Gai-Yang (on Ekammai) - inexpensive, good quality food (well above the level of many other Thai restaurants with better ingredients and meat).

Ton Krueng (far, north end of Sukhmivt 49) - mid range, good quality food, perhaps slightly higher end than most Thai restaurants *(used to be on Thonglor 13 and had a more authentic feel, now its in a fairly modern house).
