Banglamung – Sixteen Chinese nationals were arrested after police raided a villa in Nongprue conducting what police described as a call center scam.

The Region 2 Police told the Pattaya News that on Saturday (September 2nd) they raided a villa following a tip that was rented by Chinese nationals for more than three months.

There were in total four houses in the villa area where 16 Chinese, composed of 12 men and four women, were found working online as a team. Police seized many computers and mobile phones.

These would be Chinese tourists turned criminals then...

I'm sure they entered with good intentions of only visiting temples.

A villa security guard identified only as Mr. Petch told police that he did not know what the Chinese were doing and that it wasn’t his job to pry into people’s personal lives. Petch stated that the group mostly stayed inside the villa for about three months, rarely venturing outside, sending the maid to run almost every errand and purchase food.

Well, I think  either the guard is totally useless on using his brain or he gets a nice backhander !

Bar stewards........................????

Bet they take their own grub to the restaurant up the road too........????

And this is the largest percentage of the 13 million tourist they are talking about.

Four villas in a moo baan wouldn't be to difficult to spot something dodgy going on especially all Chinese, the maid would have seen everything,

Mooban security guard is not paid enough for him to do police job. It is better he must do the job assigned to him which is gate keeping and route policing. What goes inside the houses is not in his job description and maybe even detrimental to his health if he gets nosey.
