After 20 minutes in the pool, they all felt numb all over their bodies

They were probably numb from the neck up before they even went near the Jacuzzi????

As an electronics engineer, I'm intrigued to know how the hospital was able to identify a 5 second electric shock!  Electric shock really is only identifiable by skin burns etc from a large energy shock, in which they would be well and truly dead!

Might an ECG show evidence of an electric shock?

Only if the cardiac muscle was damaged by the electric shock

Hardly luxury at 3364 Baht per night. But that's  no excuse for not giving proper compensation. Giving 100000 is an insult in this case.

1 million thb more reasonable

Did they die? Then they weren’t electrocuted. Electro-execute. Electrocute. To kill by electric shock. Were they electrically shocked? Yes. Not electrocuted. Does the writer have a firm grasp of English? Nope.

No compensation at all for almost dying by electrocution

Where does it say they almost died, except their lawyer who can hardly be said to be impartial? They felt discomfort, numbness.

The hotel acted responsibly by taking them to hospital and offering to pay their medical expenses. Of course, they'd want receipts as any business would. And of course the hospital wanted them there overnight as there was money to be made.

The defamation laws in Thailand have actually worked against the hotel, as we don't know which hotel acted in such a responsible way. Many would simply deny there was a problem.

Good luck with that. I would not even put a bad review on Tripadvisor before getting back to the USA!

Is not the same, she is Thai. But how is 100,000 baht not enough already, they are fine, knowing they spend about 10k per 3 days on hotels, they are compensated for an entire month stay.

This is just the typical American behavior again, to think you become rich after it.

i mainly wonder if the hotel fixed the wiring?

its probably a loose gasket on the lights. low wattage hence just feeling a buzz. i feel that low buzz all over the place. and not only from bong hits.
