When people are suicidal, all it takes is a thought, and then it will happen. They can be driving down the road, listening to music they like, thinking of their girlfriend and how much she loves him, just having a great Thai lunch, then the next thought is, this life sucks, and will never get better, no matter what. What they don't realize at the time, is that was just another random negative thought, that it will pass, that an hour from now they might feel better, and look at things in a more positive way. Tomorrow can come if you allow it to. And tomorrow can be a great day. When you change your thinking, and wrong thinking happens to everyone a lot, the world doesn't look so bad, and if your next thought is going to see a professional, that could be the beginning of your climb out of the dark hole you're in now.

We don't know the full circumstances. Finding the body in a car park is a question, as suicides are usually  alone and unassisted. But presumably the police have the results of the autopsy, have traced his final movements (including CCTV if available) and have checked his finances and mobile phone over the last few weeks for any unusual transactions/interactions.

I would assume she will get to know the reason on his suicide  by seeing the 

suicide note or the British Embassy staff informing her

Yeah, obviously, but what method of suicide other than leaping from a high rise would result in you dying in a car park?

I feel for this lady I just lost my only son on 4 September and by the time his funeral takes place it will have been 5 weeks I don’t even know what he died off as I’m estranged from his mother and she is unwilling to give me any information regarding the cause of death he was 45 and in his later years he suffered with drink related issues I can only surmise that these issues contributed to his passing . Only to often do we hear of foreigners being found deceased outside apartment buildings I sometimes think the Thai police assume we all purposely end our lives I hope she will get the justice and answers she seeks ????????????️????????

May we send our deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family. He was young & in Thailand & for many of us with younger sons or daughters of this age not long out of university it is a deeply sad loss. Both ordinary Thais & Brits & other farangs will deeply feel your loss at this time.

Hmmmm…. Not easy in any country of the world. Once police make a decision that basically is it, right or wrong. We have had several examples in Australia. The police have a lot more power than any individual, and power is what this will be all about.
