Pattaya’s bustling Walking Street witnessed an unusual scene last night when an Israeli tourist was apprehended for causing disruption and stealing from a local convenience store. The man, whose identity remains confidential, admitted to having consumed cannabis beforehand, attributing his disorderly conduct to the stress induced by the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, coupled with the effects of the drug.

The incident occurred on last night. The Pattaya Police were summoned to Walking Street in South Pattaya following reports of a foreign tourist causing a disturbance.

Upon arriving at the scene, they were met with the sight of the Israeli tourist, exhibiting disruptive behaviour and a lack of cooperation.

Witnesses to the scene reported that the man had caused damage to property along Walking Street. He was seen inexplicably striking several cars parked along the roadside.

Following this, he entered a convenience store, where he helped himself to food and drinks without making any attempt to pay for the items. This prompted the store manager to seek assistance from the Pattaya Police.

The police’s investigation led them to an unnamed hotel in Pattaya, where the Israeli national was a guest. Upon inquiring about the man, hotel staff revealed that he had been involved in previous disturbances there.

Perhaps fear of a scheduled  return  home and immediate call as a reservist overwhelmed the usual sedatory effects of thc  ?

I would certainly not be keen to face off with an enraged jihadist who has lost tolerance for witnessing the indiscriminate retaliatory killing of destitute occupants of a refugee camp by illegal military controllers .

He is said to be a tourist. Had his break already !

There is a pretty good chance he must return to Israel to fight the Hamas terrorists. Israel is doing its biggest reservist mobilization in their history and it includes Israelis abroad.

But be that as it may, it sounds like he might have grounds for a mental deferment.

Why give him a break, when so many others suffer from Israel's policies on Palestine

He looks to be the age where he'll be handed a rifle and reservist marching orders when he debarks his plane.  Yeah - I could imagine that is stressful.

Personally I would have opted for alcohol and dispensed with the pot.  I will agree that cannabis in sufficient quantities or of sufficient THC concentration will stoke paranoia.  Paranoid highs are no fun.

Could be he just learned some of his family and friends were killed? Could be many things. Who knows. Guess they'll clean him up, and kick him back to Israel. Embassy is sure to handle this.

Pattaya — An Israeli tourist was arrested on Pattaya Walking Street last night for causing havoc and shoplifting from a convenience store.

According to Thai media reports, the man confessed to having smoked cannabis prior to the incident and blamed his erratic behavior on the stress stemming from the ongoing conflict between his home country, Israel, and Hamas as well as the effects of marijuana.

TPN media notes that there is no known scientific evidence that marijuana suddenly causes people to shoplift.

On Monday night, October 9th, Pattaya Police were alerted to a disturbance involving an international tourist on Walking Street in South Pattaya. They rushed to the scene to find an unidentified Israeli tourist acting in a very disruptive and uncooperative manner.

According to multiple eyewitnesses, the tourist had damaged property on Walking Street.

He may be suffering from feelings of national guilt but I doubt they have feelings except for themselves.

yes I am sure vandalizing Thai peoples cars and property and stealing from a Thai business will pay back those horrid Hamas people.

Time to clean him up, get him sober, and then send him back on the next available flight.  Obviously no consuming of mind-altering substances until he clears Thai airspace.  Perhaps blacklisting him for five or more years would be a good idea as well.

For RUSSIAN draft dodgers that is.

I am happy to see RUSSIAN draft dodgers.

They are often people that have skills that Russia has lost and if they were mobilized one less body to commit genocide against Ukraine.

This is so true. Just say no to Reefer Madness propaganda. Ganja is a gift from the Gods.

Absolute nonsense! according to your comment it would be ok for everybody having a stressful time to freak out and behave irresponsible without facing consequences. Just give them a break, right.

Definitely letting his side down, but there is always a namby pampby who can’t man up and get on with doing what needs to be done. Get back home and fight for your country…like a man!

I guess that makes the massacre  of 260 young people at a dance festival, hundreds other innocent civilians pulled from there houses and shot dead- not forgetting hundreds of other civilians being kidnapped by Hamas OK then?

You seem to get carried away with your imagination, or experience on pot. The hippy generation smoking plenty of pot and drinking, didn't have any of those violent side effects, on the contrary.
