On October 15th, Pol. Lt. Col. Thanapong Photi, the Chief of the Pattaya Police Station in Chonburi, led a team of officers in a comprehensive operation aimed at enhancing the security of Pattaya's beaches. The operation's goals included combating human trafficking, property theft, and violent incidents that may harm tourists.

The officers carried out inspections on women with unclear backgrounds who were discovered in different areas along Pattaya Beach. The goal was to prevent illegal activities like human trafficking and violent crimes against tourists, as reported by Daily News.

Over 30 police officers, including tourist police and district officials, took part in the operation, focusing on known risk zones where past violent incidents and human trafficking activities had occurred.

As part of the procedure, the women were interviewed, photographed, and had their records documented to serve as evidence in case of future incidents. Those with suspicious urine test results were referred for further treatment and rehabilitation.

Rinse and repeat

This sort of "police crackdown" has been going on at least as long as I've lived here, and that's been 20+ years

Dang,

Probably just missed the ladyboy v tourist  altercation that shocked foreign tourists by minutes.

On the other hand maybe ladyboy roundups alternate with hooker roundups and this was a hooker roundup weekend.

I'll check it out.
