Bangkok, (EFE).- The Prosecutor’s Office on the Thai island of Koh Samui on Wednesday delivered to court its report in which it accused Spaniard Daniel Sancho of premeditated murder and concealment of a body, the same charges established by police.

The report was delivered to the Samui court, as confirmed to EFE by sources from the Prosecutor’s Office, which had a deadline of Oct. 29.

The court told EFE that the Prosecutor’s Office maintains the same charges against Sancho of premeditated murder and the concealment of the body of Colombian Edwin Arrieta as the police had previously established in its own investigation.

The charges will be read to Sancho in a closed-door hearing at the court on Thursday where he will be expected to enter a plea.

In the event that Sancho has not hired a private lawyer, he will be assigned one, according to the court.

A 29 year old Spanish man has been officially charged with murdering and dismembering his Colombian partner on Koh Pha Ngan in August of this year. Daniel Bronchalo, who is a famous chef in his home country, was charged at Koh Samui Provincial Court yesterday, October 25.

Public prosecutors assert that Bronchalo murdered Edwin Arteaga, a 44 year old plastic surgeon from Colombia, and then dismembered his body in an attempt to conceal the crime. It’s understood both men had been in a relationship. The court accepted the charges and has summoned Bronchalo to a statement hearing today.

The murder was uncovered when body parts were found at a landfill site on the island on August 3. The next day, Bronchalo was arrested, subsequently admitting to the murder.

Horrifying crime ... nobody knows the personal circumstances that led up to this murder.

Seems like the accused will get his "day in court", then the justice he deserves.

Hope he Enjoys ( not ) his extended stay in Thailand 😱

Do you REALLY need this 'splained to you? Simple: Looks better in photos - more normal and less like an actual criminal. You know, doing the "perp walk" with or without cuffs?

What is your preferred cut?

A relief that his partner didn’t end up in the human food chain! Less traceability than a landfill!

The guy’s father is a well known actor, but he is definitely not a “famous chef “ . Well, he’s famous in his own rights now!

Still doesn't fool anyone that he's cuffed. When I was in the British Army, another guy and I had to escort a prisoner who'd gone AWOL from Anglesey to Catterick. We weren't allowed to cuff the guy (a big Irishman) so it was a long stressful train journey for us in case he tried to do a runner. Fortunately, he was as good as gold.

I read in the Spanish news that he was in a homosexual relationship with the guy he murdered but was actually heterosexual and just in it for the money. When the "chef" got bored and tried to get out of the relationship the doctor blackmailed him and threatened to tell his family if he did not stay. So instead of just saying "I don't care, tell them" he decided murder was the answer. Too bad for both of them that they could not sort out their little differences like gentlemen.

I've heard them called many names but it serves you right for putting his 'gazpacho' in your mouth 😁

Did you eat some Liver with Fava beans and a nice Chianti..

Premeditated murder? At least in English law to be murder it must be premeditated ie an intention to kill. If it isn't premeditated it's manslaughter not murder. But this is Thailand so may be all killings here, though not the intended result, are murder? Accidental? Reckless?

Judging by that avatar, your kind have never killed a fly in world history.

Obviously his rich father has disowned him so no money in it for the cop,s.So he will have to do some time in the monkey house untill someone come,s up with a brown envalope.case closed🤣🤣

One would obviously never doubt on the highly efficient detective work in Thailand. But if one may ask, is there sufficient evidence in the case to charge him 100% ?
