webfact
Pattaya — A fire at a famous hotel in the heart of Pattaya early on Monday, October 30th, sent many guests, most of them were Indian tourists, fleeing for their lives. The fire started at about 6 AM yesterday at a well-known hotel (name withheld pending an investigation) located on Soi 4 in Central Pattaya, Nongprue sub-district, Chonburi province. Two fire engines and the Pattaya fire department rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they witnessed thick smoke billowing from the conference room on the second floor of the 7-storey hotel. An unspecified number of guests, the majority of whom were Indian visitors, evacuated the building, while some, who stayed at a safe distance from the fire, chose to stay on their balconies to witness the incident. Cannot think of a worse experience for a holiday than spending it in a hotel full of Indians. If you've mixed with Indians, which I doubt, you've clearly chosen the wrong kind of company. I've holidayed with an Indian friend I called Turbie and Turban Top (couldn't get away with that in these PC days, but he didn't mind), I've been invited by an Indian boss to her home for dinner, I shared a house with an Indian family and I've had Indian colleagues. I've not wanted to avoid any of them. I wonder what Indians would say in response to your racist remark. Maybe that they couldn't think of a worse experience than staying in a hotel with you. Can you tell us why you would find staying in a hotel with Indians such a distressing experience? Thanks. 1

Thanks. Never found an indian that does not smell of spice in close quarters - I really do not like Indian food, smell makes me feel sick - plain and simple. I have nothing against Indian people, I just do not like the lingering spice smell, same reason I would never eat at an Indian restaurant. It's the spice - not the person. Same as I would never stay in a hotel full of ganga smokers - that smell makes me feel ill too. 1 1

Sydebolle
In today's release more of the stuff which gives the blokes at the Thai tourism promotion board headaches if not sleepless nights. It might result in only achieving 480% of the anticipated increase in tourist arrivals for 2023! https://aseannow.com/topic/1310719-thai-woman-calls-justice-after-thai-man-attacks-her-belgian-husband/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1310714-foreign-tourist-attacked-by-hostile-youngsters-in-pattaya/

I've managed many projects ; 2 days but often 2 years across India. The arrogance, rudeness and ignorance and the treatment of the poor are beyond belief. I would never return except to run a short project but only if I can select the Indian project staff.
