Popular Post georgegeorgia
I don't know if the word "successful" is what I'm looking for ,maybe it should be admiration Ok there is no need to name names ,but who your opinion is the most successful as a person in Pattaya in terms of achievement and helping others ,I don't know if that's the right word ,or is it admiration for a farang who assisted the community in doing what Just describe what you think is "successful" farang or business I'm not talking about someone financial or running 15 business's I'm talking about success in creating a better life for others even at a old age and creating things , I was just listening to a podcast of a British guy who at 65 retiring from his UK job decided to buy a wildlife park in Tasmania Australia, it went from a old ruined park to now a theme park ,that's success in life ,he wasnt doing it for money but to live his life to help Wildlife and create something! I admire from Canterbury tales bookshop in Pattaya , I think they did/do a "community service" by having books and creating a "social" type group club for many lonely farang especially their bookclub meetings etc ,that to me is success because it brings lonely people together Another was the muscle guy who used to feed the Soi dogs nightly , haven't seen him for years ,but that to me is someone I admire What about the old farang who used to clean the Jomtien beach every morning ? There should be a yearly Pattaya Community service award given I believe to someone who creates things for others Edited November 11, 2023 by georgegeorgia 3 5 2
Popular Post carlyai
Pattaya council just received an award for being the best on the planet. Some awards aren't very meaningful. 1
Popular Post Swiss1960
I know a guy who was very successful in his career und is living in Pattaya now. He likes to give back to the community and is financing several bars and supporting a number of girls, boys and ladyboys through his daily drinking and fornicating. I admire him for not discriminating between ownership of the bars nor sex of his partners... 2 1 1 13

Popular Post Prubangboy
Can we hear more about your ga-ga man crush on the guy who owns a bookstore? This is like your 3rd love letter to him. Prob just someone who was superficially polite to him, instead of just waving him off as usual. Odds of the OP attending a book club meeting: Considerably less than zero. What dog-eared paperback did you buy for 150 baht to support your dream date? Popular Post Mika78
I don't know the criteria you want to use to answer your question, but I believe the owner of Trattoria Toscana is someone who found success in Pattaya. I spoke to him a few times and he left Italy for Macau, came to Thailand to open a small restaurant on the beach road where the Holiday Inn is now and then moved on to the current Trattoria Toscana/Moom Talay. And all without forgetting the commitment he put into opening the farm which he also uses for the products of his restaurant. And he is also a person who has given so much for the Pattaya community, especially for orphans. This, to me, is a man who has succeeded in Pattaya. 2 1 2 2
Popular Post GypsyT
"What about the old farang who used to clean the Jomtien beach every morning ?" He's still there. Driving funny looking small Daihatsu 3-cyl pickup. His donation box is front of "Beach Surf" (?) restaurant. He does great job and has amazing life story to tell. Just ask. 2

OneMoreFarang
For my taste being successful includes most people would not recognize me. Look at people like Justin Bieber (ok, you don't really have to look, I also don't look at him). He is super rich and relatively young, but he can't even go out of his front door without being molested by lots of people. And I am pretty sure he could go to almost anywhere in the world and he wouldn't be able to live a quiet life. That must be horrible and more or less the opposite of successful.

I lived in View Talay 6 couple years, never wanted to talk to him, but I saw him in Bangkok a few years ago. He lost all his hair from steroid abuse and didn’t look ‘scary’ anymore. 😂
