Former prime minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has been appointed a member of the Privy Council, according to the Royal Gazette.

It said His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has appointed Gen Prayut a privy councillor effective as of Thursday.

Shouldn't surprise.

You'll be remembering as to where he comes from and the deeper long held relationships with a particular family.
