Russian Tourist Injured After Thai Couple Gets Into Argument on Bangla Road in Patong

Patong –A Russian tourist has sustained minor injuries after a Thai couple got into a physical argument on the Bangla Road in Patong.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified that a Thai couple were verbally arguing at an entertainment venue on the Bangla Road on Tuesday night (November 28th).

 

The couple “accidentally” threw a glass of whisky at a Russian tourist at an entertainment venue during their argument. The Russian tourist then sustained minor head injuries.

They don't mess about here, I was sat in a bar one evening when an argument was kicking off big time and this was only about 6 pm an whole bunch of Thai women and the girl behind the bar launched a full bottle of beer at them, luckily it didn't hit anyone it hit a car parked outside the bar.

Many years ago, I was walking down soi 6. Some BG had a fit with a farang and threw an ashtray, which broke and sliced the <deleted>e out of my foot. She apologized and she and the other girls tended to my needs.  :)

Erm...  'financial compensation to the venue' ???..      erm...  I think they mean the venue and the police were in cohorts and decided to fleece the Thai couple...    

...  Its good that they paid for medical treatment for the Russian tourist, but it should have been the Russian who received any compensation, not the bar (who's only loss was 1 glass).
