Thalang – A mobile application taxi driver sustained injuries after he was attacked by several men while he was picking a passenger up at a beach club in Cherng Talay, according to a police report.

The Cherng Talay Police told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (December 3rd) that on Saturday (December 2nd) Mr. A (alias), 25, filed a report to relevant police. He told the police that he is a legal, licensed taxi driver and that a passenger called him via a legal mobile application to pick them up at a beach club.

When Mr. A arrived at the beach club, an unidentified man asked him which taxi application he used. After that, the man asked him to wait for his passenger on a road outside the beach club. Mr. A then called his passenger to get on his taxi outside the beach club.

That looks like a hell of a lump on his head he needs an app for that 🤔

They are rude, no map, no gps, and they usually have no idea where they are going.  I am surprised more taxi drivers aren't attacked.

Typical Phuket taxi mafia. Together with the lunatic aggressive van drivers they feel totally untouchable. No need to even mention the tuk tuk drivers with loud blasting music ......

Erm... I think you've got that upside-down, inside-out and back-to-front....

This was a taxi driver using an app (mostly likely Grab, Bolt or in Drive).. which uses Maps...

The attack was most likely other taxi drivers who refuse to use such Apps and instead protect their 'turf' by attacking those who do, so they can maintain elevated prices and rip off customers...

in otherwords... The scum known as 'taxi mafia' attacking an honest App Taxi trying to do his job.

whoever did that to him should have their license revoked and pay his hospital bills,

Attempted manslaughter by several Coward Mafi members. There Fixed the headline for you.
