Not 100% true I been singing in kick off bar in sukumvit soi 4 many times.I use to sing thai songs there Never had any problems about that.Anyway im just a customer there taking some drinks and not get paid. But i know a guy from Denmark who played in a karaoke and the IMM showed up and even he didn't get paid anything he was kicked out of Thailand for 6 months.Another friend from Norway was painting his house in surin..the IMM showed up and told him to stop or not they would charge him for working without a permit. Strange county i must say. -

Drunk Driver Crashes into Barriers on Unopened M81 Motorway
Picture from responders. A drunk driver crashed his car into concrete barriers after illegally entering the unopened M81 motorway (Bang Yai – Kanchanaburi) in Nonthaburi. The crash caused damage to both the vehicle and motorway infrastructure, with the driver sustaining injuries. At 22:30 on 14 February, police from Bang Yai Police Station and emergency responders from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were called to the scene following reports of a collision involving a car and motorway barriers. The crash occurred on the outbound section of M81 in Bang Mae Nang Subdistrict, Bang Yai District, near a toll gate. The motorway is closed and not yet operational. Rescuers found a silver Honda Civic with Bangkok registration at the scene, its front end damaged. The driver, 46-year-old Mr. Surachet was found unconscious behind the wheel. He was quickly transported to Kasemrad Rattanatibeth Hospital for medical attention. A security guard stationed at the barrier site stated that he had stepped away momentarily to use the restroom when he heard a loud crash. Upon returning, he discovered that two concrete barriers blocking the motorway entrance had been knocked over, with the damaged car nearby. The driver appeared to be heavily intoxicated, displaying signs of alcohol impairment and vomiting profusely. Rescuers had to wake him before assisting him out of the vehicle. Further investigations revealed that Mr. Surachet had initially struck orange plastic barriers near Kanchanaphisek Road, close to Central WestGate shopping centre, before continuing to drive for another 3 kilometres. He eventually crashed into the concrete barriers in front of the motorway’s toll plaza. Thai Man Confesses to Brutal Family Murder
UPDATE Picture of the arrest. In a shocking murder case which has rocked Thailand, a man coldly admitted to killing an entire family, only after sharing news reports about the crime on Facebook as if he were merely an onlooker. The suspect, identified as Siwakorn “Note”, allegedly shot and killed 37-year-old Wongsakorn, his wife Natkan, 35, and their seven-year-old son, Sunday, in a dispute over money. He initially denied involvement but later confessed to the brutal murders following police interrogation. According to investigators, Siwakorn had asked Wongsakorn for a loan of over 100,000 baht to invest in agricultural equipment, specifically a drone for farming. When the victim failed to provide the funds after Siwakorn had already placed an order, an argument ensued. The confrontation escalated into violence when Siwakorn retrieved a gun he had previously pawned with Wongsakorn, shooting him dead. Siwakorn then called an accomplice, identified only as “Khao”, to help dispose of the body. He forced Wongsakorn’s wife and son into the front seat of a vehicle at gunpoint. When the woman attempted to seize the weapon, a shot was discharged, striking the child in the head. Siwakorn later killed the mother to silence her screams. After abandoning the vehicle in an abandoned house 10 kilometres from the crime scene, he covered it with a cloth to avoid detection before fleeing. What has caused further outrage among the public is Siwakorn’s behaviour in the aftermath. Despite knowing full well that he was responsible for the deaths, he proceeded to share news articles about the missing family on Facebook, appearing to speculate on their fate like any concerned citizen. One particularly disturbing post included CCTV footage of the victims leaving their home, with Siwakorn mockingly questioning online users who had suggested the family had fled to escape financial troubles. His detached, almost taunting attitude has drawn widespread condemnation. “This is beyond horrifying. He acted like an innocent bystander, even though he was the killer all along,” one outraged Facebook user commented. Another added, “How could someone be this cold-blooded? Especially to a child. The victims’ bodies were discovered inside the abandoned vehicle, leading authorities to track down and arrest Siwakorn. Forensic examinations confirmed that all three had been shot at close range. Siwakorn is now in police custody and faces multiple charges, including murder and illegal possession of a firearm. If convicted, he could face the death penalty or life imprisonment under Thai law. Meanwhile, the case has reignited debates in Thailand over gun control, financial disputes, and the disturbing role of social media in modern crime. Many are calling for harsher penalties for those who commit such brutal acts with apparent indifference. Thick PM2.5 Smog Causes Driver to Plunge into Deep Pond in Pathum Thani
Pictures from responders. A 51-year-old man had a narrow escaped after his pickup truck veered off a sharp bend and plunged into a deep pond in Pathum Thani. The incident, which occurred in thick PM2.5 smog, has raised concerns over road safety in the area. The incident took place on the western side of Moo 7, Bueng Kho Hai Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province. The driver, identified as Mr. Ukrit, was able to swim to safety despite his vehicle being completely submerged in the pond, known locally as the “100-Rai Deep Bend Pond” near Khlong 11 Golf Course. Mr. Ukrit recounted the terrifying moment, explaining that he was on his way home to Lam Sai Subdistrict after dropping off his younger sibling. Due to the heavy smog and the lack of warning signs or road signals, he failed to see the sharp bend ahead and lost control of his white Toyota four-door pickup truck (registration from Bangkok), sending it straight into the water. “I managed to stay calm, rolled down the window, grabbed my mobile phone, and swam out,” he said, relieved to have escaped unscathed. Local residents confirmed that crashes frequently occur at this hazardous curve, yet authorities have taken no action to improve safety measures. Mr. Ukrit is urging authorities to address the dangers of the bend, particularly given its proximity to a deep body of water. “This road is extremely dangerous, with a sharp bend leading directly into a deep pond, and there are no warning signs at all,” he stressed.
