Who needs tourists or high season when you have such fine specimens living here 😂

Say all you want about Thai police , but if this took place in UK or US or AU , guy would have been tasered and handcuffed, not that he did not deserve it

Bang Saray is the spot to be for piss head poms!

I thought Brit quality tourists like this guy fine specimen went to Spain and upset people there

Now they are here in Thailand as Ex-pats getting us fine  Brits a bad name

Hope he receives his just rewards 🙏

Needs to get rid of the pick-up and ride a bicycle 🚲

Budget air travel has a lot to answer for. Hopefully, prices are increasing again, enough to keep most of the riff-raff away.

Thailand was brilliant in the 90's and early 00's when it was genuinely an exotic destination and without the white trash (whatever nationality they are; Brits, Oirish, Aussie, Kiwi etc.)

Sounds discriminatory

Why can't he be a Kiwi or Aussie?

Can't speak for the Sheepshaggers, but, an Aussie acting like that? Never.:burp:

Is that your kind of humor? It's not the US.

Neither the full article nor the video show any violence. The fatty show mimicking a Thai boxer was good for a laugh.

Not sure what Thai people felt when watching on TV.

Just embarrassing. Another entitled ff giving us all a bad name.

The video is quite hilarious. Amazing how easy the Thai officers behave with the guy. He does deserve a hefty fine and some jail time though, just for the fact of driving drunk. Fun stops once you run over a kid on a bicycle or other.

I was actually in Angeles City last August when I saw something similar, only it was Filipino police.

Unfortunately they did not have the same patience as Thai police and are very aggressive,

I'm very happy Martin wasn't in the Philippines

I thought Martin was going to grab the officers gun ,he should of been handcuffed for safety

Sorry is it just me, but as soon as I saw this clown, it immediately reminded me of some of the posters on this site. 55555. No allowed to name them, as will get deleted!

I am British, and incidents like this reminds of the old UB40 song.

Any examples of this, not been able to renew an extension?

What exactly do you require as an example ?

once he is taken to court, immigration is automatically notified same day.

Notice to immigration goes on their system.
if one goes to do extension their profile has an alert of being charged.

immigration then will require a letter from the court confirming court does not object to visa being extended.

if one manages to get the letter , record remains on the system and local immigration reluctant to do 1 year extension due to a charge and either donation needs to be made or get a new visa

This must be the Brits push to reach the top of being an arse and bad behavior, as Russians have done their best to move in on that territory. :cheesy:

Can only feel sorry for his wife, that have to live with such unintelligent entity.

As far as Thailand, maybe yes, but don't visit the US or read any US news - that's much worse plus you're liable to get shot for no reason but being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even with all this Thailand is still the best place to be. (An American)

Police released a video of a drunk British man refusing to be arrested and attempting to assault Thai police after he crashed his pickup into another vehicle in Sattahip district, Chon Buri province.

The police were seen laughing at his action and used a clipboard to push Martin away. All the officers tried to speak to Martin in a friendly manner, but he seemed to ignore them.

I'm glad the policeman had a clipboard handy or this could have turned serious!  I hope he gets a stay in jail for drunk driving.

Sure, after all, it is a Thailand forum, right? Merry Christmas!

alcohol is a scourge on civilized culture because of the way people behave when drinking.

True words indeed.   I grew up in a home of alcoholic parents, and not pleasant to say the least.

Safe, roof over our heads, and actually ate good, but no funds for anything else.   All going to their habit, along with a bit of gambling.   The money spent on alcohol, cigs, gambling could have put 4 of us through Uni.  I actually worked since age 12, not a bad thing, as 'what doesn't kills you, strengthens you'

And to be behind the wheel of an auto ... Holy Buddha, he's lucky he was stopped before something did happen seriously.

The guy is in the wrong country, he looks like a Sumo wrestler.

He must be Scottish or, Welsh, he can't possibly be English.:cheesy:

According to the report he’s one of you English lot.

Classic ... sadly he'll only get a small fine, instead of jail & deportation.

Hopefully the wife won't bail him out, and his bags will be curbside when he does get out.   Almost feel sorry for her.  Imagine living with someone like that ... Holy Buddha.   Obviously has no respect for himself, let along anyone else.

He's probably one of those guy who turns into the world's biggest a-----e when he drinks.
