Or Tracy Lords - from the time when she started with her movies.

IMO she'd be a big disappointment in reality.

Besides, there are so many better than her hanging out in LOS just waiting for us to turn up for a chat and a cuppa.

Other than his bongos?

No!

You must have a very limited imagination then. You get to have a chat with anyone in history and want to talk about boring science!

I never saw her in reality. But when I was young, and she was on the top shelf on VHS I had a look or two.

Welsh coal miners kid Sir Tom Jones.

About 1978 I took free "Beverly Hills Rich and Famous" Looky-Loo tour.

The only house without high walls was Tom Jones' modest crib. So, he really was a tough guy?

His later homes were huge mansions.

It's always a disappointment to meet our heroes. No one can measure up to imagination.

There's a porn star or two that I'd like to "meet", but they probably don't actually do in real life what they are paid loadsacash to do on a movie set. If one looks into how a porn movie is made it's nothing like the end result.

He's still touring. I thought he'd gone to join the band in the sky already so I was surprised when they advertised his new tour.

I agree! The only real 007. I still remember "Goldfinger".

Indeed. He had the "it" factor in spades. I still have a publicity picture of him and Andress on the beach after she walks out of the sea dressed in "that" bikini in Dr No, and his raw sexuality jumps off the page ( and I don't like men in that way at all- so it's impressive that I can feel it ). The movie itself was rubbish, but he made Bond famous. Those that came after are but pale shadows of his greatness.

I found the very picture of Connery and Andress. Anyone not agree he was THE James Bond?

With this photo, I'm not really looking at Connery.   Now wanting to watch Dr. No ... to see if the camel toe made it pass any of the editing

I'm pretty sure that is off the actual movie. That scene probably lasted about a millisecond, so likely escaped the censor's eye.

I've got the DVD so I'll check it out for you after I can find it. My favourite DVD shop owner in Chiang Mai sold me the entire set of Bond movies cheap as no one was buying them.

Might just be an 'on set' promo photo.  Although not noted in the upper right caption.  If you open in another tab, then enlarge, easier to see :giggle:

I am still waiting for my date with Khrushchev.

His shoe, pounding on the lectern of the UN, was all nothing but  showmanship.

This guy, Khrushchev, was no dummie, compared to many in Soviet politics.

How quaint he now seems....

Thanks for the clip. Yes probably a promo shot or a deleted scene.

That clip isn't exactly  HD though, as the other bits where we see her bottom part don't really show one way of the other, so I'll still see if I can find the DVD.

I was going to say Jesus, to ask quite a few questions, and get answers on some very important topics, but someone beat me to it, so I'll say Hitler, just as WW 2 began, to ask him a few things , so I could save millions of lives after we were done drinking the coffee.
