I'm looking for a good accountant in Chiang Mai, especially one who is familiar with the new tax laws that went into effect 1/1/24.  There's much confusion about how this affects foreigners and what they need to do.  I'm not sure anyone really understands the new rules!  If anyone has found a reliable, professional accountant in CM that they would recommend I would like to contact them.

Thanks.

As far as I know there are not new tax laws only the possible intention to more widely enforce existing laws. At this point it is unclear just how many people this may effect.

And no way to know until they start collecting if they ever do.  So wait and see.

I certainly don't but if you are not a resident, i.e. a visitor and you don't have a work permit i.e a job then you probably don't have either a tax number or "income' in Thailand.
