After the pardon, the valve will miraculously repair itself after which Mr. Thaksin will be able to resume seeing family, friends, acquaintances, and power-brokers.

And his sister living freely in BKK!

Yet, Godfathers of the type seem to be able to conduct and manage their business from an unimagined ailing bed or behind the very secured curtain. Appears to be the case here.

However the situation, anything Shinawatra still makes for lasting and stimulating news copy.....and particular circles are squeezing what they can.

Wondering if we can stretch this outdated drama until the next general election. To be sure, there will be Shinawatras [one generation or another] in out midst and consciousness come that time. Part and parcel of the expected show.

Kick back and enjoy the show.

If you had billions, would you fly on a private jet without a medical team or trained physician with such a condition?

A rhetorical question with no answer. From my experience with2 blackouts last year, you get no warning. It happens just like that.

Unless your private jet is the fully equipped version of a complete hospital, all the money in the world won't help.

How many times in Thailand have there been when some numpty has deliberately blocked an ambulance from passing?

It is not entirely impausible. My mother had a heart valve which failed when she was in her seventies. She was in hospital for several months until she was stable enough to be operated on to have it replaced - by a pigs heart valve actually. She lived for another sixteen years, although bacon sandwiches were off the menu!

A delegation from the Police Committee of the House of Representatives, led by its chairman Chaichana Dejdecho, an MP from Nakhon Si Thammarat and a Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party, visited the Police Hospital to check on the health of former Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

The delegation was guided by Police Lieutenant Colonel Samart Muangsiri, a doctor at the Police Hospital, and his team, who provided detailed explanations and responded to various inquiries.

Chaichana, along with Tipa Paweenasathien an MP from Lampang and the spokesperson for the Far-reaching Party, visited the Bhumibol Adulyadej 88 Anniversary Building. This facility serves as a treatment residence for the 74 year old former PM.

Chaichana requested permission to investigate the condition of Thaksin, which was later denied by the hospital, citing patient privacy rights.

If it's true why didn't he have an operation while living overseas instead of coming back here , my grandson had a heart operation before he even had his first birthday and the problem was quite severe and is still taking medication 4 years later for the condition

So your grandson has Heart disease?  Big difference.

Of course. Indubitably.  How would you know how bad your condition was if you did not seek out treatment when you started to feel ill.

Doesn't this violate medical privacy "laws"?

As critics get closer to "looking behind the curtain", more details are leaked, and the condition(s) become more severe.

Who do they think they're fooling? I mean, other than themselves.

That's all speculations only. No proof for anything. So what?

Chaichana requested permission to investigate the condition of Thaksin, which was later denied by the hospital, citing patient privacy rights. Upon reaching the 14floor of the building, Chaichana and the committee interacted with hospital staff for approximately ten minutes but were not allowed into the patient’s room.

The hospital staff then led the committee to visit inmates receiving treatment on the 7th floor of the building.

Chaichana revealed that the only inmate staying overnight at the hospital was Thaksin while others were outpatients.

He found that not only the building but also the surrounding area’s CCTV system had been faulty for several years.

Thaksin: entitled to patient privacy and inpatient treatment

Other inmates: not entitled to patient privacy and inpatient treatment

CCTV cameras not working (which is fairly common in RTP buildings)

Are there any other patients on the 14th floor at all, or is it exclusive to Thaksin?
