1-year MENO and re-entry permits

If I enter Thailand just before my 1-year, multi-entry Non-O expires, I get a 90-day permission to stay.

 

Am I eligible to get a re-entry permit on that 90-day permission so that I can depart and return during those 90-days?

 

Or is the 90-day permission dead if I leave, same as the visa?

A reentry permit will protect the 90 day stamp.

With school holidays and a couple of overseas trips during April-June, I didn't want to shoehorn getting a new 1-year MENO into the mix.

Please stop using the unusual and incomprehensible acronym MENO for the multiple-entry non-O visa.
