Im sure i cant add much I think as a person selling albums and concert tickets you wouldn't want to alienate any political party. So i think Taylor will just stick with recruiting people to register to vote. And that pisses off the GOP because they know her base is young and female voters and they will predominantly vote blue. Women are fking going to decimate the GOP after roe vs Wade. 2 5 1

I think we agree. I want to see her do an in-country tour in summer/fall with facilities to register to vote outside the venues (such will be run local Dem parties, and not part of the show). The Fox employees on television will be cautioning that the plot is to turn the country into Barbieland. It also will give them a place to stand against the threat of "female empowerment" (put that threat in the same category as their battle against Michele Obama's black rage) and it will backfire on them bigly. Also get the female on-air employees to do their alternate-day bs on women's issues: a mother who works is an abomination because a woman's place is in the home, children need their mothers, etc. Next day, stay-at-home moms are blasted for being too lazy to work. This hypocrisy/schizophrenia has been a staple of Fox for decades, and put people like Meghan Kelly in the price range she now occupies. My sentiment for TS is "go get'em, kid!" 2 1 2 2
ozimoron Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Back on topic. So you would think that the right would embrace that. And for a while, when Taylor was more quiet about her politics, they had this notion that she was secretly one of them. You saw this in around 2017, 2018 when literal Nazis like Andrew Anglin or folks from the GamerGate community like Milo Yiannopoulos, were posting these memes that were suggesting that Taylor was secretly a white supremacist. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/02/01/the-twisted-logic-of-the-taylor-swift-backlash-it-seems-like-political-suicide-00138924 1 1 1

Popular Post Jingthing Posted February 1, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2024 The Magas are shooting themselves in the foot with this insanity. Swift will continue to encourage her Swifties to register to vote and when the time comes she will actively endorse Biden over the adjudicated rapist maga fascist buffoon. That was going to happen anyway but now they've magnified the impact. What new support do they get by dissing Swift and the Swifties? Zero. They just massage their bizarro cult. That will not lead to a happy ending for them. 1 1 1 2 2 1

Popular Post bamnutsak Posted February 2, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 2, 2024 The best part of this right-wing MAGA low-IQ ginned-up conspiracy is that these morons have painted themselves into a corner. Now they have to root AGAINST the middle-American, fly-over state team with a star named "Travis", coached by a universally loved, admired, and respected sexagenarian coach, and root for Nancy Pelosi's hometown team. This Culture War battle has been a devastating and embarrassing loss for the MAGA conspiracy crowd. They have yet to meet a rake they haven't stepped on. Is it Doofuses or Doofii? 2 1 1 1 2
