Popular Post snoop1130 Posted February 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2024 Thai motorists demanded police take action against two foreign men riding electric unicycles, or e-unicycles, on a crowded road in the northern province of Chiang Mai. The video of two foreign men riding the e-unicycles in Chiang Mai was shared on February 10 by a Facebook, Guru Guroo Chiang Mai. The caption read… “Very dangerous! E-unicycles on Ring Road 2 near Payap University. Spot them at 12pm.” The two foreign men were seen riding the e-wheels in the right lane of the road. Their practice is considered dangerous and illegal because the right lane is reserved for vehicles travelling at high speed. Furthermore, this type of vehicle is not allowed on Thai roads. The Facebook page added that many motorists honked their horns to warn the two foreigners to move to the left lane or a footpath but the men ignored them. Thai netizens commented on the video asking the police to take action. “Police must take this case seriously because other motorists will be in trouble if something happens to them.” By Petch Petpailin Caption: Photo via Facebook/ กูรูเชียงใหม่ เรื่องเชียงใหม่กูรู้ Full story: The Thaiger 2024-02-12 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post impulse Posted February 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2024 Stupid as that looks to be on the road like that, I'd have given them a warning before hitting them with 10,000 baht fines. 1 2 10

Popular Post arick Posted February 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2024 Three years back a Thai thief( charged property fraud) with his yellow Porche was driving at very high speeds and killed two people on their motor bikes in Hang Dong. He had no mandatory insurance & no tax. He walked away free and wasn't fined. 4 2 1 1 1 1

Popular Post Aussie999 Posted February 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2024 Just seems like another attack on foreigners as Thais get away with so much more, every single minute of the day... yes warn them, regarding the correct lane but I'd like to see the regulation stating unicycles are illegal. 3 2

It's obviously a danger. These morons are going to get killed. 1 4 2
Bazerino Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Well at least there on the road & not on the path & wearing helmets, i nearly got run over coming out of a shop in the u.k by some kid on an electric scooter! 1
Popular Post bbko Posted February 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2024 I was walking along Jomtien's beach promenade several weeks back and some farang went zipping around me on one of those things and it was playing music. He was just zipping around people left and right, an accident waiting to happen. Those things are not meant for sidewalks or to be in traffic, basically they're a skateboard on steroids, keep them on bike paths/lanes. 4 1 1
Popular Post KhunLA Posted February 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2024 Unless they were getting reading to make a right hand or U-turn, that is definitely the wrong place to be. And I don't see any shoulder or intersection ahead .... you can't fix stupid. 2 1 2
Popular Post newbee2022 Posted February 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2024 Many members here are calling Thai's as "morons", giving then examples. However these 2 foreigners are not following the Thai laws. If I would drive in UK a pick-up with my crew of 4 or more workers as cargo..... it's against UK laws. Are British then to be called "morons"? If you live in a foreign country you have to accept, that there might be a lot of different rules to follow. Maybe some you're not able to understand. So accept the fine and pay the fine because of disregard Thai laws. (The disregard of Thai people is unfortunately not to be fined) 1 1 1 3

jossthaifarang Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 I have to say, for a while, I thought there was a sudden influx of idiots coming to Thailand doing stupid things. After seeing this one, I think that the Thai media is on a mission to get rid of foreigners completely. It seems a bit petty this... 1
