Taylor Swift ticket prices

Featured Replies

I notice that in Australia at the moment this celebrity is doing concerts and the prices are starting from around the minimum equivalent of 32,430 baht per ticket.

Around the world similar prices per ticket and sometimes a lot higher.

Often her gigs sold out.

Is it just me but do any others here consider these prices ludicrous?!

I wouldn't go there even if I would pay to go.

Imagine being in a hall together with thousands of fans of that woman. And then all that noise.

Does that include a rub and tug or full service?

I don't expect much of the sheeple, but they never fail to amaze me with their IMO stupidity.

I'm also amazed that so many have so much disposable income, when the world's economy is supposedly in strife- someone is telling porkies IMO.

My Thai health insurance was 60,000 baht for a year, so all those sheeple paying half the amount to see someone sing songs. Is that insane or what?

Her concerts sell-out in minutes. The prices you're seeing are from ticket brokers and yes they are insane. But the way prices have risen in the western world it's not really surprising.

Thank goodness there's still affordable places left, like Thailand.

No I am not incorrect. Look at any ticket buying web sites the prices are in the range I mention:

Of course maybe occasional cheap restricted view standing only etc can get lesser prices but most tickets are at the exorbitant levels I mention.

And some tickets over 90.000 baht for 1!!

Not if you can afford it!

It is not only Talor Swift tickets that are expensive, but a lot of people are also complaining of concert ticket prices, like U2 are doing a residency at the Sphere in Las Vagas, seen many ticket prices for $200 plus, about 70 000 baht.

I suppose when you are at the top of your game you can command high prices for tickets.

Back in the 80's and early 90'sI use to go to a lot of concerts, comparing ticket prices to then and now allowing for the cost of living ect ticket prices now are a lot more expensive, some say  it is post Covid people getting out more.

Top ticket price I ever spent: Bruce Springsteen, 2009, Giant Stadium, New Jersey. $300 for 2 20th row seats.

He opened by premiering Wrecking Ball alone on stage with the band filing in behind him, and then did the entire Darkness album, in sequence. So money well spent.

Trivia: The first band to get $20 in a New York club was The Specials.

What's your most expensive ticket?

Viagogo is a ticket resale website, ie. an online scalpers market.

Ticketek is the official ticket seller in Australia and guess what, they're sold out!

Incorrect. Previously artists would make a lot of money from record / CD sales. Now that revenue stream has pretty much gone and streaming doesn't provide nearly as much so artists make the majority of their money from touring. Nothing to do with post Covid people getting out more.

The mind boggles that someone would willing pay what is almost US$1000 to see this woman. I'd pay that to sleep with her, not to watch her sing.

Even that sounds excessive in my opinion...
