Israel is at War - General discussion (pt3)

Recommended Posts

The difference between Israel and Hamas, is that Hamas wants to kill every Jew in the world and would if they had the means. Israel just wants Hamas to surrender unconditionally.

"A newly surfaced document has revealed that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and intelligence systems had detailed knowledge of Hamas's plan to raid Israel and kidnap 250 people weeks before the October 7 massacre [massacre also due to the IDF implementation of the Hannibal Directive]. The document, which was compiled in the Gaza Division, outlined Hamas's intentions and was known to top intelligence officials, according to a report by Kan News. The document, titled "Detailed End-to-End Raid Training," was distributed on September 19, 2023, and described in detail the series of exercises conducted by Hamas's elite units. These exercises included raiding military posts and kibbutzim (collective communities in Israel), kidnapping soldiers and civilians, and maintaining the hostages once they were in the Gaza Strip. The report by Kan News stated, "Security sources told Kan News that the document was known to the intelligence leadership, at the very least in the Gaza Division."

Almost as if they planned it themselves

Israel: Former MP invokes Hitler in call to expel Gaza's 'Islamo-Nazi' population
Moshe Feiglin in TV interview calls for resettlement of Gaza and expulsion of Palestinians.

In a panel discussion on Channel 12, Feiglin called for resettlement in Gaza and argued Israel should transform the Palestinian territory into a "Hebrew Gaza".

"We are not guests in our country, this is our country, all of it," he said in the video shared on Sunday in Israeli social media.

Amazing that no one has brought up Biden's cover for people like that. Seems it's OK for israelis to say things that if a certain president said it about a certain population in a certain country would have the self same Biden up in arms saying how vile that president was.

IMO our civilization is sick that such hypocrisy is rampant at the very highest levels without question by the MSM.

The main reason this war is ongoing, the hostages

Senior Israeli negotiator says dozens of Gaza hostages ‘alive, with certainty’

A senior Israeli negotiator told AFP on Monday that dozens of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza are certainly alive and that Israel cannot accept halting the war until all captives are released in a deal.

“Dozens are alive, with certainty,” the official said on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak publicly on the issue.

“We cannot leave them there a long time, they will die,” he said, adding that a vast majority of them were being held by Hamas in Gaza.

How do you know they were all civilians? It doesn't even claim that in the Turkish media outlet, do you care about the truth?

You may want to read what's really happening in Rafah instead of a single picture shared online that Hamas supporting Middleeasteye made an article from.

Hamas can't be operating among civilians, that would be a war crime.

Wrong. Everyone that hates Israel qualifies as an "expert".

Someone is lying then....

The Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said Hamas is “an idea” that cannot disappear, stating that his country’s goal to wipe the group out is unachievable, and that anyone who promises to eradicate Hamas is “misleading the public”.

You or the rag taking quotes out of context. Eradicating the Hamas infrastructure, personal as much as possible and ability to carry out further attacks is certainly possible and remains the aim. The aim was never claimed to be that they could eliminate the idea.

Really?

Plenty of Nazis still around as well. Israel needs to compel Hamas to surrender unconditionally.

Hey, have you found out how many Thai hostages Hamas are still holding? Surely you must be extremely worried about them but you’ve never mentioned it. Strange.

Before this elderly woman was taken hostage by Hamas, she was a peace activist, striving for peace between Gaza and Israel. No more, her experience has left her with no alternative than to believe that Hamas never want peace. While in Gaza she was held by a local hospital nurse who got paid by Hamas to keep her, local students also helped keep her and they also got paid by Hamas. She was then transferred to Nasser hospital where many other hostages were kept in room.

'I don't believe in peace now,' released Gaza hostage tells BBC

An Israeli peace activist who was seized from her home on 7 October and held hostage for 53 days in Gaza has told the BBC how her ordeal destroyed her belief that peace is possible between Palestinians and Israelis.
In her first UK interview since being freed in November, Ada Sagi, 75, also told Emma Barnett on Radio 4's Today programme how she was held in an apartment by paid guards, that Hamas kept her in a hospital before her release - and that she now believes the world hates Jews.
"I don't believe in peace, no. I don't believe, sorry," the Arabic and Hebrew teacher said. "I understand Hamas don't want it."

Palestine wants peace, but to them, there can only be peace once the Jews have been exterminated.

Of course that's not really true, they'll just move to wanting to exterminate the Christians.

Israeli officials were in Qatar this week in attempt to nail down hostage deal – report

The Saudi-owned Elaph news outlet reports that Israeli officials held a secretive meeting in Qatar earlier this week to try and bridge the gap between the agreed-upon hostage deal outline and Hamas’s demands for alterations.

Citing an unnamed official familiar with the negotiations, Elaph reports that the meeting focused largely on fine-tuning technical aspects of the outline that was presented by US President Joe Biden last month, such as the number of living hostages that will be released in the first phase, and how long it will last.

According to the report, Qatar has continued to pressure Hamas into accepting the deal as it was offered, after the terror group responded with an altered version that included demands the US said were “not workable.”

Report claims only 50 hostages in Gaza still thought alive

United States officials estimate that as few as 50 hostages in Gaza are still alive, according to a report Thursday, confirming the worst fears of family members who say time is running out for their loved ones after nearly nine months in captivity.

The assessment, based on a combination of Israeli and American intelligence, put the number of deceased hostages at 66, a far higher number than Israel has publicly confirmed, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the deaths of 41 hostages still in captivity, based on intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza.
